The Seven Deadly Sins

( Primary antagonists forKitBox/UnderSiege )

The Seven Deadly Sins are the elite personal task force of the Maiden Clothed in Razors, a Deathlord who is lesser-known in Creation but is no less dangerous for it. Dangerous singly, when they work as a whole (as they frequently do) they are universally deadly. At the Maiden's beck and call every hour of the day, these seven deathknights exhaustively pursue her ambitions in Creation.

The Seven

  • Sloth (Sloth of the Endless Repose, Daybreak caste)

Sloth of the Endless Repose never directly involves himself in battle. Indeed, he thinks it an almost intolerably tremendous bother when he is forced to leave his inner sanctum for anything less than the Maiden's direct order (which he considers only a very bothersome occurance). Sloth is a sickly old man; not even the black exaltation could rid him of his wet, hacking tubercular cough. His sickly demeanor makes him displeasing to look upon, and even the slightest exertion tires him quickly. He dresses in the finest clothing and is rarely seen either outside of his inner sanctum (where he rests in a very comfy chair) or his palanquin, which is toted by several strong zombies.

  • Lust (Lust for Life, Day caste seductress)

Lust is achingly beautiful and cunning, moving between beds at a fantastic rate, swapping favors here and there, and creating an underground network of information based on nothing but sex. Lust prides herself on being able to seduce any man or woman, regardless of their tastes. Thankfully, she doesn't have to worry about getting with child, for she was barren even before she was given her black exaltation (something she was and is still secretly bitter about).

  • Pride (Pride of the Inevitable, Midnight caste)

Pride of the Inevitable is the Maiden's voice in Creation. Death cults, rebellions, and hungry ghost plagues; all can be traced to him. A quick thinker and a devious plotter, Pride will always reveal himself, but almost never until a moment of his choosing. He also refuses to dress like a dead person, which means he is almost constantly bleeding off Resonance. Pride is a tall man who always dresses impeccably, a smirk on his face until someone shows him up, at which point he becomes an angry and vengeful man willing to kill to keep his...well, pride.

  • Envy (Envy of the Shade, Moonshadow caste)

Though he might be all smiles on the outside, on the inside he is festering with hate and jealousy; he hates being a thing of death and envies the living their mortal passions and daily routines, and wants nothing more than to drag them all into the abyss with him. Occasionally his envy will lead him to have Greed steal his object of desire, although getting Greed to give it up afterwards is never an easy task. Envy definitely envies Greed for his skill in theivery.

  • Greed (Greed of the Graverobbing Scoundrel, Day caste)

Greed is the penultimate thief; he'd steal his own mother and sell her into slavery for a nickel if he hadn't already done it years ago (although this doesn't necessarily preclude him from stealing her again!). In Greed's mind, everything is doomed to Oblivion, but in the meantime it might as well belong to him. Greed's Manse in Dead Kirighast is packed full of various things he's stolen, some of them priceless and some of them not worth what they're made of. Greed never throws anything away, ever, and may whatever deity you worship help you if you try to steal something from him!

  • Gluttony (Gluttony of the Curse of Famine, Dusk caste)

Rather than a fat man who loves to eat, as one would expect of someone embodying gluttony, Gluttony of the Curse of Famine is a horribly thin, almost emaciated man who is cursed to never be able to sate his insane hunger. Mad with the pain of starvation and gifted with incredible power, Gluttony is the least subtle of the Seven Deadly Sins; when he is unleashed, he frequently carves a wide swath through the nearest population of mortals, devouring many of his victims alive and using the Essence he harvests from them to power an even greater orgy of death and cannibalism.

  • Wrath (Wrath of Oblivion, Dusk caste)

When the Seven need to cause mass death in a slightly more subtle way than Gluttony's style, they turn to Wrath. Well, slightly more subtle, anyway. Usually. Wrath is prone to fits of insane rage in which she will gut absolutely anyone she can lay her sword on, occasionally including other members of the Seven. Therefore, they rarely feel safe in working directly with her in the field, preferring instead to carefully plan her engagements beforehand and unleash her only when the time is right; they do this by removing the soulsteel collar she almost always is forced to wear that deadens her rage to the point where she is at least somewhat controllable. Wrath is rarely seen without an angry scowl on her face, and the slightest percieved insult will fling her clear off the deep end. Even the Seven tread lightly around this particular killing machine. Wrath is a pretty young girl with a very angry face who dresses in comfortable clothes that afford easy movement. She carries a large oblong case with her wherever she goes. Inside this case is her sword, Taste of Oblivion.
