Houserules

  • Usually 5XP per session
  • Every player can award 1XP to another for cool stuff, etc
  • 1XP for the one to come up with the best session title
  • 1-3XP for a write-up
  • Astrology is resolved via email, not during play

Also using rules from Shallows' game:

  • Each dot and specialty of craft grants an additional medium for you to work with, effectively covering a different Craft(Foo) skill-- with the exception of Craft (Fate) which should be purchased separately.
  • You may begin the game with a single resplendent destiny for free. It has a duration of one century and five effect points outstanding.
  • You may receive your salary based upon you allegiance. If you have chosen Bronze faction allegiance, you may take salary 3 for free. If you take gold faction you may take salary 2 for free, Unaligned Sidereals receive Salary 1 for free. You may increase this by spending bonus points.
  • Silken armor (you may call them Heavenly Robes, gossamer weave, etc.) 3-dot artifact is NOT armor for martial arts purposes and may be used in conjunction with Martial arts and other charms where armor is explicitly forbidden. It may be worn over/under regular armor, but this does add 1 to the mobility penalty total.
  • Sorcery is available as a background at any level. If you would like advanced instruction, you may alter your Sifu background, Terrestrial Circle Sorcery replaces a Celestial Martial Art, and Celestial Circle Sorcery replaces a sidereal martial art.
  • Material from most of the books is OK, but if you grab anything from outside the core and Sidereals rules, you'll have to let me know where it's from and what it does.
  • Power combat is definitely a go.

  • Each day the Sidereals are required to complete their planning and manipulation of fate. This is reflected in the following requirement. Each week, every Sidereal is required to achieve 20 successes on Craft (Fate) rolls. They may roll 1 time per 8 hours (3 times max daily) each day. Successes do not carry over from week to week. This duty does not apply when on missions into creation, though that generates its own set of paperwork.
