Jabojogund
Description
Jabojogund is the Great Fish of the Sea of Chaos. Technically, however, he is a mammal, as he is a giant blue whale, about 100 feet long and massively fat. His eyes are particularly expressive for whale eyes and betray a constant look of worried uncomfort. This is probably because Jabojogund does not feel at home in his summoned form, as he manifests encased in a 200-foot wide spherical bubble of floating, clear water. Four orbs of coruscating purple lightning circle the sphere of water and envelope it with a corona of electrical energy. Jabojogund’s eyes dart nervously between these circles of lightning, as if they were guarding him.
Jabojogund lives in a clear pearl. When summoned, the form of a giant blue whale begins to materialize in the sky. Just as it becomes solid, four bolts of lightning erupt from the pearl and begin circling the naked whale who was swimming through the sky, and right as Jabojogund begins to fall through the air, the bubble of water materializes around him along with the four lightnings.

Jabojogund costs 40 motes and 1 willpower to summon. He materializes 2 rounds after summoning on his initiative.
Jabojogund cannot attack or dodge. In fact, he really does not like to be summoned because he obviously does not feel at home floating in the air in a small bubble. Because of this, Jabojogund may be uncooperative depending on the attitude of the fae who summons him. In extreme cases, he may cast his chaos magic on his summoner or use shield magic on his enemies. (He will always obey Qingu to the letter, however).
Since Jabojogund is worthless in combat, he is summoned for his chaotic spells, which specialize in dispelling and shielding against charms. Therefore, it would make little sense for a fae exalt of the Bottomless Depths cast to use his pearl.
The first two actions Jabojogund will take after being summoned will be to first cast Deep’s Infinite Understanding and then cast Impenetrable Ocean Depth Shield, which invalidates all offensive charms against him for four rounds.
Jabojogund does not float in his bubble unsupported. The bubble is actually his litter, which is “carried” by the Four Lightnings circling around it. Jabojogund is carried rather high up so only ranged attacks can harm him. However, while in his litter, all ranged attacks subtract 10 successes from their accuracy roll -- the bubble-litter is made out of chaotic waters which alter the flight of the arrows and weapons.
The Four Lightnings often will make their own attacks if Jabojogund is threatened. They have a ranged attack, Lightning Bolt, and a melee attack, Thunder Sword. The Four Lightnings are difficult to see for what they are, however; characters without charms like All-encompassing Sorcerer’s Sight or charms that let you see unmanifest spirits will see them as mere currents of electricity. To characters with such awareness, however, the Lightnings appear as 4-foot tall mermen with purple/white armor, horns, and rapidly flapping eagle wings, corruscating with electricity and carrying a jagged purple glass sword and a white longbow. Characters without the sight who are attacked by these Lightnings can make a reflexive Perception+Awareness roll at difficulty 3. If they succeed, they too see the true form of the Lightnings and can dodge, parry and attack them regularly. If they fail or botch, they only see the Lightnings as a ball of electricity and cannot attack or parry them, only dodge. Characters can make this perception roll every time they are attacked if they fail at first. If one character alerts the others about the Lightnings’ true form, they still must make the roll but it is at difficulty 1. Note that while the Lightnings can be seen with charms to detect spirits, they are not actually unmanifest spirits, they are something else entirely (corporeal quasi-demons, if you will, like all of the Sea’s monsters).
One of the Lightnings must always spend a full action to carry the litter, which means that only up to three Lightnings can attack or defend per turn. The Lightnings do not benefit from any of Jabojogund’s defensive spells like Impenetrable Depths Shield.
The Lightnings have a soak of 8L/10B, a dodge pool of 10 and have 3 (-0) health levels each. When depleted of their health levels, the Lightnings dissipate in a small electrical flare.
Since Jabojogund’s litter provides him with such good protection (+10 difficulty for ranged attacks), it is a good idea to go after his Lightning litter-carriers. When one is killed, Jabojogund’s bubble will begin to sag slightly on one side. When two Lightnings are killed, the bubble begins to leak water and fall rapidly. When three are killed, the bubble leaks from several punctures and falls even more rapidly so that Jabojogund begins to flail his tail up and down to try to swim upwards against gravity (He will be unable to cast any non-reflexive magic while doing this, and the last Lightning must spend his full actions to carry the failing litter.) When all four are killed, the bubble shatters, Jabojogund makes a very loud and frightened whale sound and falls helplessly and painfully to the ground, taking 25B damage and likely sending up a shockwave of dust and dirt. Anyone under Jabojogund before he falls can dodge at difficulty 5 (or less at the ST’s discretion, depending on where they are); if they fail they too take 25B of damage and probably become trapped underneath his blubber unless they have a charm that can help them get out. The rest of the water also falls to the ground and everyone in combat must roll Stamina+Resistance at difficulty 2 to avoid being knocked down by the shockwave and the thousands of gallons of water rushing at them.
Once Jabojogund’s litter is destroyed, he is pretty much helpless. His eyes slowly change from wild, frightened frenzy to fatalistic resignation. Unless Qingu summoned him, Jabojogund will probably just give up the fight entirely if his litter is destroyed and just sit there while he is cut to pieces and do nothing except flap his giant tail in agitation. At this point, if characters are nice to Jabojogund he may even try to help them with his charms--although he is completely bound to whoever holds his pearl.
If defeated inside the bubble litter, Jabojogund himself will fade away into nothingness as the litter cracks and shatters, spilling water everywhere, and the Lightnings fizzle and flare violently out of existence. If defeated while lying helpless on the ground, Jabojogund simply fades away without any ceremony.
