Yu - The Capitol City

Chu Xian - The Northern Province

The Land of the Howling Spirits - The Land of the Howling Spirits is the name given to the range of massive mountains that rise out of the plains and dominate much of the Northern Province. They are so named because of the great winds that literally "howl" as they pass between the jagged spires. The terrain here is treacherous and there are only a few scattered communities hidden within the mountains. Most of the range is inhabited only by animals and dangerous beasts. The Silkworm River finds its source here, though, and there is a main road that finds its way through the few passes that exist on its way from the coast town of Sur Gurn, to Sung Hua, and to Yu.

Sung Hua - The Seat of the House of Chu, this large town sits at the foot of the mountains that make up the Land of the Howling Spirits. It is a heavily fortified military community, for the Chu's have traditionally been a warrior House. Today the walls are used mostly to protect the town from the dangerous creatures hidden within the mountains.

The Temple at Dirge - Located deep within the Land of the Howling Spirits, the Temple at Dirge was once the home of the legendary Spirit Monks. Once a temple of great power, Dirge lies abandoned and forgotten among the region’s icy mountains.

Silkworm River - The Silkworm River, the Isle of Jade's greatest river, finds its source in the Land of Howling Spirits in Chu Xian.

Tien's Landing - Tien's Landing is a mid-sized town and the seat of the House of Qin. The original Tien's Landing village was one of the oldest on the Jade Isle, serving as a gateway to the Silkworm River trade route that dominates all trade on the Isle. Tien's Landing was even thought to be the initial stop of Sun Tien, the first Lord of House Sun, on his legendary conquest to unite the Isle of Jade under House Sun, and was named as such. There are no records to prove this claim one way or another, however. The building of the Great Dam, which is the town's most well known feature, flooded the original town, leaving submerged ruins in its place. A newer Tien's Landing was built upriver and has enjoyed the trade the high waters brought them.

The Great Southern Forest - Rumor has it that the Great Southern Forest, which spans the distance between Tien's Landing to the western portion of Yan Xian, is overrun with ghosts and malevolent spirits, and that the trees themselves warp to trap unfortunates inside. Once a preferred meditation spot for monks and pilgrims, the forest is now sick and decaying. Some even claim the essence that flows through the forest is somehow tainted.
