Forceful Shape Blast
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Lore: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Wyld-Shaping Technique

The denizens of the Wyld fear fixed shape like nothing else. Bringing form to the formless is a devastating act. While Solars, unlike Abyssals, cannot produce necrotic-energy bursts, they can, however, enforce fixed shape upon a Fae or other Wyld-being, and do so in a manner decidedly damaging for that being. The Solar gestures at her target, and a wave of bright energy leaps out at it. The Solar’s player rolls her character’s Essence + Lore, and the number of successes that follow are unblockable, undodgeable aggravated damage levels. This will only damage Wyld mutants whose Mutation points are higher than their Willpower.

In Second Edition, this Charm is Obvious, Order, and Combo-OK.

Earth-Firming Method
Cost: --; Mins: Lore: 4, Essence 4; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Chaos-Repelling Pattern

The Solar can expand the area under his dominion and protection against the Wyld by doubling the mote cost of Chaos-Repelling Pattern when it is used; this multiplies the radius of the Charm’s effects by 5.

Guardian of Order
Cost: 12 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: One Day
Type: Simple
Minimum Lore: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Wyld-Shaping Technique, Earth-Firming Method

The Solar invoking this Charm can create a powerful wall around himself against the chaotic forces of the Wyld. For a full day after the invocation of Guardian of Order, everything around the character within a radius of (his permanent Essence x 5) yards is utterly immune to the Wyld’s chaotic effects. The ground remains stable, people are not subject to mutation, and so on. The borders of this area, which move with the character, are absolute anathema to Wyld creatures, including Wyld mutants with more mutation points than their Willpower score. Such beings will not willingly get within a further (permanent Essence x 5) yards of the borders unless they succeed at a Willpower roll against the character’s permanent Essence. Even if they can get within that distance, they can only cross the borders themselves on an Essence roll against the character’s permanent Essence. Finally, touching or crossing the border inflicts the Solar’s Essence in unblockable, undodgeable aggravated damage dice.

In Second Edition, this Charm is Obvious and Order.

Luminous Walls of Creation
Cost: 15 motes, 3 Willpower, 1 experience point
Duration: One Year
Type: Simple
Minimum Lore: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Guardian of Order

This effect is similar to that of Guardian of Order but on a far vaster scale. The character spends a day circling an area with a radius equal to (her permanent Essence x 100) yards. This may block out an area of Creation or the Wyld; if it is the Wyld, whatever is within its area of effect is instantly frozen into its current shape, which may have catastrophic results. The Charm will inflict the character’s Essence in unblockable, undodgeable aggravated damage dice to anything caught within the bounds that could not survive in Creation. From that day forward until the end of a full year (during which time the 15 motes are considered invested; not even the character can bring this Charm to an end early), the area is warded against Wyld invasion as per Guardian of Order. Even after the end of the year, the zone once protected by the Luminous Walls will be considered a permanent part of Creation unless the Wyld takes it again through other means.

In Second Edition, this Charm is Instant, Order, and Obvious. The Guardian of Order-like effects still last for a year, but no Essence is committed. It now costs 15 motes, 3 Willpower, and 2 experience points. As an alternative to the experience point cost, a sacrifice can be made of jade or gold worth Resources equal to the cost of the lands protected can be made. The two may be mixed-- 1 experience point and half the cost, round down, minimum 1 dot of resources.
