Creeper's ideas on the Shogunate era
Creeper is a WW forum poster.
There's precious little we really know about that time. To sum up my impressions:
- The Dragon-Blooded Shogunate lasted some 800 years between the Solar Purge and the Contagion
- If the title is anything to go by, the daimyos (governors of so-and-so big regions or districts?) plotted among each other for the title of Shogun, who presumably called the shots and reigned in the Blessed Isle.
- In other ways, too, Lookshy's mix of militaristic Ancient Greece added to the apparent overcoat of feudal Japan would be more in theme than the Realm's corrupt, rambling ByzantiumHistory/China.
- The Immaculates were there, but it's not until the Empress comes to power and Kejak shows up to parlay with her that they start to convert people left, right and center. Wonder what the earlier status quo was. The Hundred Gods credo? Local deities (a la Ahlat and such)?
