Kahram

Kahram is the Northern God of War. His Sanctum is atop Mount Ymir, a peek that is part of a great moving mountain range at the furthest most edge of the north, the Steel Mountains. Mount Ymir's slopes are sculpted into the shapes titanic faces and weapons; an immense mural to war.

Kahram appears as a striking man of long golden hair, a crimson scar cutting the left of his face. That scar, colored like blood, is the warmest shade in all of the God. A mark of his station and a reminder of his life, the scar was left there by the Shogun of the Crimson Banner in the Divine War that determined his ascension. He wears a different northern heavy armor every time he appears, always those of nations that have disappeared under the power of war, but always, the armor is obscured under an almost organic growth of crystals that forms his true aegis.

The great faces in those murals are the souls of great war heroes. It is said that if one comes there and burns a flag, a uniform, a wife's tears and his own personal weapon in a pyre, he can get the souls in the murals to talk. Kahram's Valkyries walk on battlefields, Choosers of the Slain to become Soldiers and Generals on the endless Steel Mountains. They fight on his sanctum, Vahalla, and the great battles show on the mountains, sculpted by the reverent winds. Those fights make them more skilled, but increasingly harsh, until their hearts and eyes are as ice.

On his hand he holds the hilt of his blade, crafted of the heart of Mount Ymir, a hilt of pure dark ice, leading only to a pulsating blue globe hovering a few inches from where it ends. Many theories exist about this globe... some say it is his heart, frozen forever and wielded as a weapon, its sole purpose not to hold love or companionship, but to gather his armies. Some say it is the entirety of his predecessor and all other northern war gods before him, together to call upon the shards of his army. Some say it is the eye of a Primordial, one whom Kahram has pledged himself to, or one whom Kahram holds in bondage... or pehaps both. When he appears, the souls of great warriors in the past come around the globe, the souls of those who had had their hearts frozen, splinters of ice that focus all of their warlike being. This avalanche of glory, this great fan of ice-splinters in the vague shape of a sword is his weapon, Hel.

Kahram takes special interest in some who know of war early on, and during the coldest day of winter, during a blizzard, appears to them as a blonde-haired boy white as snow. He provokes them into a fight, and fights with the earnest skills of the boy he is. After they are done, he leaves a small war toy and the words 'Yours be Glory'. Those he so blesses are unusually resilient, and have more ease to climb in army ranks than most.
