The Seven Souls Of A Third-Circle Demon

In a recent discussion on the forums, a question arose as to how a Third Circle's seven souls work. This was my own notes on the matter:

The Expressive Soul seems to be the soul most in line with the basic nature of their Third Circle parent. They fulfill the basic desire of their parent, with Aleuva transforming people into a 'better' form much as her mother, and Lucien serving as a spy and tracker, much like his father.

The Gratifying Soul is based around what a demon wants to do, but may not be able to. Ligier wants everyone to worship him, and is a craftsman, and so his indulgent souls weaves voices into fabric to sing the praises of their wearers.

The Reflective Soul seems to try and create more situations that their patron excels in, although they don't always understand that; they are the embodiment of the knowledge of their parent's limits. Orabilis knows all, and so his Reflective soul is always journeying for more. Munaxes is an endless ravine, and so her Reflective Soul shatters stone and creates chasms, clearing the way for her.

The Communicating Soul serves as the boundary between the Third Circle demon and others. Gervesin defends people with his martial might, expanding on Ligier's power, and Zsofika hunts them along along pathway. Their powers lie in their ability to affect others.

The Protective Soul inwardly seeks to keep their parent from changing. They are much like the Expressive soul in this way, for it is their parent's nature that they protect.

The Defining Soul seems to cover the opposite side of the Expressive soul from the Protective. They take the concept behind the demon and expand on it in a straightforward way. Perhaps? To be honest, I would have expected Octavian to be the Expressive Soul of Munaxes.

The Understanding Soul opposes the Protective Soul, and represents a new way to focus the demon's nature. As Jacint forms pathways between buildings, so Gumela forms pathways of knowledge, and connects people for all eternity.
