Danaa'ds Conquest Style

The Path of the Water Dragon emphasizes the give and take embodied by the Danaa'd. According to the Immaculate Texts, Danaa'd was the second of the Dragons to enter the Choosing War, using trickery and guile to wear away at the weaknesses of the Primordials, and retreating from their attacks only to strike again at places she had already weakened.

In her honour, the students of Danaa'd learn not only physical force but mental and social understanding, as well. They learn to seek out weaknesses and to count the costs of victory, knowing when a sacrifice is needed and when a retreat is in order.

Prime Trait: Conviction. A student of the Water Dragon must have Conviction 2 to learn the Student Form, Conviction 3 to learn the Adept Form, Conviction 4 to learn the Master Form, and Conviction 5 to learn the Pinnacle Form.

The character learns the basic ebb and flow of the tides, bringing them into her life. During combat, the character may choose to take a -1 die penalty to all attacks for one action, in exchange for a -2 die internal penalty applied to all attempts to attack the character until her next action. This may only be done once per action.

Evasion-Uncovering Sight</b>

The character's eyes can flow past any impediments to the truth. The character may activate this Charm in conjunction with any attempt to detect lies. She adds her Conviction to the die pool of the roll. This is considered to be a magical truthtelling effect.

The character knows that it can be important to change focus quickly and easily in a fight. This Charm enhances a Miscellaneous action in combat or social combat. The character takes no DV penalty for this action. This Charm may be activated repeatedly to cover multiple actions in a flurry.

The power of water lies in its ability to wear away even the strongest defenses. The character may activate this Charm after successfully striking an opponent or object. The target's Bashing, Lethal, and Aggravated soak totals are each reduced by 1 for any further damaging effects, for the duration of the scene.
