Styling pins are very common artefacts amongst dragon-blooded courtiers - at least, the ones with long hair. Once attuned, a styling pin will never fall out or dislodge unless its owner wills it. In addition, the wearer may restyle their hair as a Simple action. The essence in the pin reaches out and coils the hair into whatever style the user wishes, and will hold it there indefinitely or until the pin is removed.
