Samuel

"I know you're there," Kestrel said to the darkness of her room. "Your ego gives you away."

A low laugh emanated from the shadows by the door.

"Your ego attracts me irresistably," the voice whispered. "That, and your evident ability at this game."

Kestrel sat up in bed, absently wrapping the sheet around her body as she scanned the myriad threads of fate for an outcome she liked. "This isn't a game, demon."

The laugh again. "Better keep your voice down, little bird. It would spoil the game so much if your friend next door were to hear you dealing with me."

Kestrel gave the shadows a level stare. "Come out where I can see you, demon. I know you're not here to kill me."

The shadows deepened, shrouding the whole room in night. A figure blocked the wan light from outside, delicate traceries of darkness on darkness outlining an androgynous form perched on the windowsill.

"I'm here to congratulate you, little bird," the demon said with a languid smile. "A masterful play, and not even against me."

Kestrel allowed herself a small smile. "It was one of my better ideas, I'll admit."

"If Lytek ever finds out it was you that nudged his hand, you that forged the paperwork..."

"He will audit me as is his right, and I will win. Few gods will argue with the results, even if my methods weren't wholly in line with accepted doctrine."

"Yes... rather than redirect the Wyld hunt, you simply arrange for its target to never Exalt."

"And instead the essence Exalts a man perfectly poised to stand on the barrier of the living and the dead, and keep the dead out of my world."

Soft applause, like velvet on velvet. "What I could do with such a woman as you by my side..."

"No, Talios."

"No? Just like that?" A glint in the night was a gleam in his eye. "You enjoyed yourself last time."

"And now I'll seek enjoyment elsewhere. Everything is worth trying once, but not everything is worth trying again."

"Well, you know how to call me if you change your mind." The gleam shifted, and Talios was wearing a predatory grin.

"Go away, demon." Kestrel laid back down. "If I call him, Jhag would kill you before he killed me."

"Last chance, little bird."

"Go away, demon."

The darkness in the room shifted, and softly became normal night time once again. Kestrel lay awake for a while, and then she slept.

Character Description

A character description should probably contain some sort of backstory, as well as a description of the character's physical appearance and personality.

Expanded Backgrounds

I personally find it really helpful to enumerate each of the character's Backgrounds and expound on them. For example: listing Allies, Contacts or Artifacts, describing your Manse, or explaining how what your Resources represents.
