Description</b>
For all her deadly skill and lethal fighting prowess Essa doesn't look that frightening. Below average height, slim and willowy she is a quiet, shy girl with eyes that are filled with care. When travelling as Essa she dresses in black mourner's clothing under heavy snowwear with a dark choker around her neck as her only real piece of finery and her orichacum daiklaive carried on her back. She dresses as much the same when as Song of Broken Blades, though with a deadly soulsteel reaper on her back and a white china mask on her face.
<b>History</b>
Essa was born as Nyomi within the village a little too close to the Citadel of Red Ice and was captured and brought back and raised within the Citadel from a young age. She was taught some of the arts of pleasure since she was gifted with good looks but showed promise as a warrior too. Had it not been for abyssal exaltation she would likely have died and become an immortal ghost gaurdian of the Lover. On the day of her Exaltation she put on a white mask which she puts on whenever she is ready to kill someone. Even if ambushed she will take the time to slip the mask on before fighting. If its destroyed she wont stop fighting though, its just her fighting philosophy demands she put it on or try to do so first before she attacks back though defense is fine.
2 years before she became an abyssal her romance with Champion of Eternity's Peace gave her a child. That child is now 5 years old, a quiet child like her mother. She is part of what brings her and Rooks back to the Citadel when they are being used to seek redemption. You can check out Rooks information for details about that plan.
In the 3 years she has been a loyal Abyssal for the Lover she has served as a deadly warrior for her armies and silent assassin at times. She is either at Champion's side as his bodygaurd, the Lover's side as her bodygaurd or playmate or out on a solo mission at the Lover's behest.
<b>Plot Hooks</b>
- Essa is very linked with one of Rooks plot hooks, see his bio for information. Her shy, quiet demeanor can catch a hero's eye or conversly one might catch hers.
- For whatever reason one of the Exalted has angered the Lover and now they must deal with her coming for them. A highly skilled warrior she knows enough to use tactics of ambush and seperation to eliminate her one target. She believes death is a release, and tries to make it quick and painless.
- Yozi worship and corruption had a strong hold of her town when she had been taken away. Its power is growing and it is starting to affect her. As loyal agents of the Lover, or to oppose the efforts of the Malfeans cousins, she must be stopped from returning to that village and the dark corrupt creatures in the ruin destroyed.
