<b> Description and History</b>
Belkira is a tall, muscular woman of slightly above average height. she has slightly tanned skin, long blonde hair and blue eyes. she is extremely gracefull and walks with the poise of an accomplished dancer. She is charismatic and a very happy person in general, very little will get her down. she relies on her charm to get her through most things but can back herself up with a sword if she needs to. Belkira does not know where she was born, she was found in a blanket on the steps of an Immaculate temple in Sijan at the tender age of 3yrs old. The monks took her in and educated her in the immaculate philosophies. When she became old enough she began training as an accolyte, learning of the religious, spiritual and martial aspects of the immaculate order. She continued to advance in skills until she reached her early teens, at which point her then unknown Sidereal benefactor arranged for her to be sent for further training in the Realm. After her Exaltation she continued working within the Realm and Yu-Shan, when they felt she was ready the elders sent her back to the Scavenger Land. she was to work out of Nexus, with a new mentor who was secretly a member of the Gold faction.
Her mentor - a chosen of secrets called Markus, slowly tried to undo her conditioning to the Bronze faction. Belkira has become confused by his teachings, she no longer feels she can combine the 2 sets of teachings and has informed the elders of her need to be independent of any faction whilst she decides for her self if the Solar really are the threat that the Bronze faction claim. For their part the Bronze faction are doing everything in their power to ensure that she returns to them, by playing the nice guy, and taking no hostile action to try and force her hand.
Currently she is known by four seperate identities (not Resplendant Destinies) ;
- 1) Belkira, an independent chosen of endings, known to other Sidereals, Spirits and the Player characters.
- 2) Katherine De lamore, a high class entertainer known to several dance troops and theatre companies throughout the Scavenger Land.
- 3) Salmek, a highly competent swordswoman, to be hired for a high price, known to mercenaries in Nexus.
- 4) Sapphire, a petty thief and con artist, known to the criminal underworld in Nexus.
<b> Comments:</b>
At the moment Belkira was designed to be able to hold her own in a game I have been playing in for some time. There are 3 other characters - a 650 point Zenith butt kicker, a 550 point Dawn combat monkey and a 400 point Lunar killing machine. My last character, a 550 point Twighlight died and I decided to try something different. The Sidereals are completely new to me however and so any suggestions for further development and roleplaying suggestions would be appreciated.
After a partial conversion to 2nd ed, Belkira ended up throwing her lot in with the Gold faction. It was touch and go for a while as one of the Dawn caste was rather hostile. Then she ended up in a fight with a 3rd circle demon that had used some kind of power on all the solars to make them think she was really a 1st circle demon and their best friend (lots of failed integrity rolls!), got her butt kicked soundly by the demon as Belkira saw through the power / effect and had to retire to Yu-shan for debriefing by the Bronze Faction....... I now play a totaly different character.
