Background

Mighty Star was sometimes said to have been born with a silver horseshoe in his mouth. A Prince of the Arbogassu tribe of the Marukani people, one of the finest riders in a people born upon horseback. Mighty Star was the eldest son of the Elder of his tribe, and as such was trained more formally than his brothers and sisters, learning to read and write as well as speak a variety of languages. He went on to become a circuit rider at a young age, and by his eighteenth birthday, was as well suited to lead the Marukani people as any man born before him. With a significant amount of convincing, Star managed to convince his family to set aside their long held tradition of marriage within the clan, and allow a political marriage between himself and the daughter of the Mayhiros elder, a match that would unite the two larges Marukani clans and pave the way for a united nation, in truth as well as name.

Mighty Star could lead the Alliance, under one banner, for once the Mayhiros and the Arbogassu were joined through marriage and children, the other clans would quickly fall in line. And send their troops to be led by the charismatic and bold leader, which would give him a chance to fulfill his greatest desire: Destroy Thorns, the Juggernaut, and drive Mask of Winters FAR from his people.

But not all of the clans of the Marukani wished to be brought together. In particular, the Turrin clan. When the Elder of Clan Turrin caught wind of Mighty Star's wedding, he hired an assassin. The night of the wedding, the assassin struck, killing Star's new bride. In his righteous fury, Star Exalted, a Zenith Caste Solar, and killed the assassin. Immediately afterward, without even realizing, he sent the spirit of the assassin, and his wife, to rest, destroying their corpses. Suddenly an Anathema, without a wife or an explanation for her whereabouts, Star went to his father, seeking advice. His father told him that Turrin Clan had already begun asking about the new bride, and word of her disappearance would get out within days. Acting quickly, the elder ruled that Mighty Star was guilty of a crime against his clan, and was judged for it. He was to be exiled from the Alliance and never to set foot within its borders again.

Riding north, Mighty Star, now called Forsaken Starfall, was joined by his highly skilled, and incredibly loyal cavalry unit, and together the six of them headed north to find a way to restore Star's name, and seek justice against those who wronged him and those who threatened his homeland.
