Sesus Alon Sanahra

Sanahra is shapely, with deep red hair down to her waist and smoky grey eyes. She's typically clad in bold colors -- favoring red, but also purple, green, even black at times -- and has a crane with flaming feathers draped upon her back! In terms of height, she's perhaps 5'8" tall, and carries herself with both confidence and nimble grace.

Personality-wise, Sanahra is hot-headed, stubborn and loves to be in the spotlight -- whether she's inspiring admiration or fear, it's all the same to her! Despite her reputation, she can be well-mannered when she chooses to, and is actually quite learned and eloquent in speech (if she's not pissed off, that is). She's a sorceress and tends to flaunt it, though will tone it down when it looks like it may offend people she wants to impress. Has a healthy sense of humor, an optimistic outlook on life, and tends to think you can't have any fun with at least a little risk involved. A Fire Aspect to the core, she is an active force of personality; coupled with her penchant for the occult, that makes her just a little bit scary. Which she also very much enjoys!

He has more than passing interest in her still, as they were briefly lovers, though for reasons Sanahra won't speak of she refuses to accept either love or knowledge from him now. On the other hand he still is willing to do her a favor or two if the need arises.

    • Cathak Mae, master armorer of Tuchara, one of the few Dragon-Blooded in such a profession, but highly respected both by her House and clients for her work.
    • Nellens Mishae Adela, unExalted tailor of no small reknown. Trained in the art at Sion, winning many an award at the annual fashion fair, now residing in Tuchara in her older age.

    • Alon is Sanahra's mother, who in turn is the granddaughter of Sesus. She is a powerful, though cautious, Senator of the Greater Chamber, wielding great influence in the Deliberative. Alon considers Sanahra the "brat of the litter," and probably hopes her interest in sorcery will kill her one day, but nonetheless, simply being related to Alon gives Sanahra some benefit. (+1 dice pool when dealing with bureaucrats/officials.)

    • Professional demon summoner on the rise, and "That Scary Bitch". Being a fire-dancing sorceress that relishes the spotlight, with a flaming bird draped on your back and a penchant for making people you don't like burp maggots or grovel at your feet, is an easy (if not-so-beneficial, at times) way to get noticed.

  • Slow Healing (+4 bp) - Sanahra heals very slowly for a Dragon-Blooded, depending more often than not on her familiar, Aerybis, to care for her wounds. Aerybis is himself an extension of her; perhaps it may be said that the price for his bond to her was her body's own ability to recover more quickly from injury.

Fire-Dancer's Finery (Artifact 3)

  • A lovely gown with a form-fitting short jacket of red jade panels sewn into patterned silk. The silk of the gown itself is woven in with threadlike strands of red jade that are near-indetectable to the naked eye. The patterns can shift depending on the wearer's taste, so long as the colors involved remain red-hued and/or fiery in tone: bright red flowers, shimmering flames and phoenix feathers are all valid motifs for the gown to form.
  • If worn by a Fire-Aspected Dragon-Blooded, the gown bestows fire immunity as per the Fire anima, but snuffs the damaging flame aura that usually comes with it. This does not mean that the wearer no longer flares at all -- just that she need not flare or expend Essence to gain fire immunity. In addition, all equipment she wears or carries is fireproof so long as she wears the gown.
  • Adds +1 to Dex rolls for footwork and acrobatics, including dancing, dodging, leaping and tumbling.

Incandescence, the Flame Shard (Artifact 2)

  • Red jade daiklave with a black jade hilt and a space for a hearthstone at the center of the ornate crossguard. The guard is forged to resemble claw-like tendrils of inky black smoke that coil up the hilt's eight inch length, the pommel of which is tipped with the fang of a river dragon. The blade is straight and tapered at the end, about two feet in length; it appears as if transparent, with a center of molten lava that swirls and shifts as the weapon is moved.

Headdress of Vivacious Beauty (Artifact 1)

  • Green and red jade, shaped like a headdress of fiery orchids. At the center of the crown is a socket in which a hearthstone may be cradled amidst the clusters of jade-crafted flowers. Wearing this head ornament enhances the bearer's beauty and physical appeal when she engages in social interactions, lending to her image a youthful effervescence and charm.

Prism of Focused Passion (Manse 2)

  • From AB: Fire, altered. Hearthstone of Fire.
  • Pyramidal carnelian stone with flecks of orange throughout.
  • Trigger: Concentration (Presence dice action must be the only action for the turn.)
  • Gives +2 to Presence rolls used to incite strong emotions in others. Subtracts 1 from related Virtue (i.e. Valor for fear, Temperance for seduction) of targets for the purpose of resisting that roll.

Gem of Dignity (Manse 1)

  • From Book of Three Circles, altered. Hearthstone of Earth.
  • Spherical quartz stone, luminescent and perfectly clear.
  • Trigger: None, constant.
  • Any attempts to make the bearer look foolish or stupid are at +1 difficulty.
  • Conversely, adds +1 die to any attempts on the bearer's part to maintain dignity.

Aerybis, the Flame Crane (Familiar 4)

Aerybis is Sanahra's companion, a majestic crane perhaps 6 feet in wingspan, with orange-red feathers constantly aflame with magical fire. She most often wears him draped upon her shoulders like a cloak, and bids him spread his wings for dramatic effect or intimidation purposes. Aerybis has no form of communication that people can understand, but he is singlemindedly loyal to Sanahra, and follows her commands without question. He is generally a peaceful creature, though proud of his looks, and nurtures his mistress with both healing and essence as needed.

Made with Seiraryu's Familiar background. Kinda stretched it with the fiery feathers, though, I suppose. Also, I just plain protest having to buy longevity, and it requiring Stamina 4. Thus it is assumed Aery's essence is bonded with Sana's (as per the explanation for her Slow Healing flaw), so his lifespan is the same as hers. Also made a (sorta) custom quality: Telepathic Link, which is basically Rapport, minus the sense sharing aspect. Requires Intelligence 3, Ess 1.

Aerybis's "natural weapon" is his flaming feathers, which provides him with a constant aura of flame that deals Ess (therefore 2L) in fire damage per turn if he comes in contact with unprotected skin. This damage stacks with the bashing damage from his normal attacks, as well. His feathers may also be plucked and used as thrown weapons; they have the following stats: Acc +2, Damage +2L, Range 15, Rate 3. They deal fire damage, and regenerate the turn after being plucked.

Aerybis may douse his flame aura for the cost of a Willpower point, or rekindle it for the same.
