This is a classical "create the correct beam of light" riddle.

Description

The characters enter a circular room, that it is illuminated by natural light falling in through large stained glass windows. At the far end of the room is a sitting statue of The Unconquered Sun overlooking the room. Behind the statue is a metal mirror, convex, that radiates the captured light. The mirror is mounted on a long pole Thus it seems that the statue is crowned by the disc of the Sun itself.

The walls are dominated by the large stained glass windows showing deeds of the Choosen. Under these, at waist height, is a band of runes, dedicated to the glory of the sun. At the center there is a circular slab framed by a small orichalcum band inscribed with runes. The slab itself is devided into sixteen sectors, each richly engraved. The center of this slab is a circular plaque that depicts another solar disc, just like the mirror.

The runes are written in Old Realm:

The first thing you have ever seen\\

At it's path beginning it now treads\\ The picture's twin waiting there it dreads\\ That yet again the time unfilled has been

Detailed information

o The Mirror is supported by a long pole. It's base is sunk into the ground It can removed from it's position, leaving a little hole in the ground. Fixed to the bottom of the pole is a small cross, roughly a finger thick. The backside of the mirror is concave and quite dirty.

o The plaque comes also loose if the characters use a knife to pop it out of it's socket. Under it a small hole appears. It has the same size as the hole where the pole was in. The characters can turn the pole in the hole until it falls into the cross shaped socket at the bottom of the hole. The pole can be secured into four directions.
