some random weapon idea I had, possibly Alchemical
A weapon that appears to be a simple wooden staff, thicker than a Bo Staff but only about the length of a walking stick. This staff in fact is capable of emulating nearly any weapon ever concieved of in creation. Usable by both Mortals and Exalts, a Martial artist need only grasp the weapon and hold it while moving into a Form-type charm. The weapon changes shape as the wielder moves, coming apart and briefly showing glimpses of impossibly complex gears, cogs, springs and chains before collapsing back together ingo it's new shape. A mortal who grabs and pulls on either end could make it into a three-piece rod, or an Exalt could expand it into a Seven Section staff. Or connect and collapse the sections into a simple nunchaku, or collapse it down to the size of a fist-sized weight with a chain and a Kama. This would be a very appropriate weapon for an NPC, perhaps a crotchety old MAist who the characters seek training from. Hmm. maybe it only does bashing damage.
