Character creation and rules for Half-Caste and God-Blooded characters for 2nd Edition.
Character Creation
- Attributes 6/5/4
- Half-Castes and God-Blooded have a natural Lethal soak of 1/2 Stamina, round down.
- Abilities: 25
- God-Blooded characters favor any 2 abilities appropriate to their divine heritage which must be rated at 3+.
- Half-Caste characters favor abilities as follows:
- Solar: 2 of the Exalted parent's Caste Abilities, and any other 2 (min. 10 in Favored)
- Sidereal: 2 of the Exalted parent's Caste Abilities, and any other 1 (min. 6 in Favored)
- Lunar: 1 of the Exalted parent's Caste Attributes, 1 Favored Attribute (each with a min. score of 3), and the Survival Ability (min. 2)
- Virtues: 5
- Starting Essence: 1
- Essence Pool: Half-Castes and God-Blooded only have Personal essence pools figured as follows:
- Half-Caste: As the Peripheral essence pool of their Exalted parent.
- God-Blooded: EssenceX7 + Willpower
- Charms:
- God-Blooded/Solar Half-Caste: 4
- Lunar/Sidereal Half-Caste: 3
- Except for the "Universal" Spirit Charms God-Blooded learn Charms with limitations appropriate to their divine parent's dominion. They NEVER have All-Encompassing Charms.
- Elemental God-Blooded can take the elemental "Natural Powers" of their divine parent as Charms.
- Backgrounds: 7
- Half-Castes and God-Blooded use the Background selections of Solar Exalted. Such characters who are patronized somehow, either by their supernatural parent or an organization like Lookshy or the Gold Faction, may benefit from Realm Dragon-Blooded Background values and/or selection. This is solely at the Storyteller's discretion, though recommended if the Bastard of Heaven is dealing with Celestial Exalted.
- Breeding is available to Half-Caste and God-Blooded. They only gain the essence pool bonus as they do not have anima banners, however the total bonus number of motes available applies.
- Freebies: 21
- Half-Castes pay half-again as much in Freebies (rounded down) as their Exalted parent to raise their Essence at Character Creation (to not more than Essence 2 at character creation).
- God-Blooded pay 13 Freebies to raise their Essence at Character Creation.
- Charms cost as an Exalt+1 for Half-Caste (ignoring mention of [nowiki]CasteBraydz/Favored[/nowiki] charms) and 7 for God-Blooded.
- At Storyteller discretion God-Blooded and Lunar Half-Castes may buy Mutations to reflect the physical effects of their supernatural parentage with Freebies: 1/Pox, 2/Affliction, and with some VERY good rationale 4/Blight, 6/Abomination.

- Essence:
- Half-Castes pay half-again as much XP (round down) as their Exalted parent to raise their permanent Essence.
- God-Blooded pay 13XCurrent XP to raise their permanent Essence.
- Charms:
- Half-Castes pay half-again as much XP (round down) as their Exalted parent to learn a new Charm.
- God-Blooded pay 11 XP to learn a new Charm.

Notes:
- Thanks to their divine parentage God-Blooded and Half-Castes gain a natural Lethal soak equal to half their Stamina rounded down, however they heal as mortals and are just as susceptible to poison, disease and natural Crippling effects as mortals. At Storyteller's discretion these shortcomings may be made-up for with appropriate "Wyld mutations," representing differences in divine inheritance.
- Half-Castes and God-Blooded are Essence Channelers and gain all inherent abilities granted as such: Essence added to Dodge DVs, minimum damage of Essence, minimum dice-pool of Essence, and the ability to attune to Manses, Demesnes and Artifacts and benefit from a Hearthstone.
- Half-Castes and God-Blooded never have more than 3 Permanent Essence. It takes divine intervention to raise their Essence to 4, in which case they become Little Gods.
- God-Blooded and Half-Castes have free access to a number of motes equal to their Willpower per scene. Access to the rest of their pools costs 1 WP and lasts for a scene. Motes committed to Artifact attunement and other ongoing effects do not count against the motes available to such characters.
- God-Blooded may attune to all Artifacts including those made from any of the Five Magical Materials, however they cannot attune to the material itself to gain the corresponding 'Magical Material bonus.' Half-Castes may attune to any Artifact but can only gain a 'Magical Material Bonus' from the material appropriate to their Exalted parent. This requires an additional 3 motes committed to the attunement but cannot more than double the cost of attunement.
- A Half-Caste must possess all of the prerequisites of a Charm as written/errataed in order to learn it. Likewise the minimum Virtue and Essence ratings listed with spirit Charms are requisites for God-Blooded.
- Half-Castes lack the sensitivity to Essence necessary to link Charms into Combos. God-Blooded, being the children of purely Essensial beings, have a higher degree of sensitivity and may form Combos using the guidelines of Lunar Exalted, spirit Charms being comparably "vague." God-Blooded learn Combos that incorporate Martial Arts Charms as Spirits.
- Dragon-Blooded Half-Castes, i.e. the children of Terrestrial Exalted with a brighter spark of Essence than mortals, are... more Dragon-Blooded.
- While Lunar Half-Castes tend towards animistic features reminiscent of their Exalted parent's totem, they are more distinctly human than Beastmen; wild-eyed with pointy teeth rather than furry with a tail. Like an Eclipse-Caste Solar, they may not learn charms that require shape-changing.
- The rules for God-Blooded may also be used for Ghost-Blooded, Demon-Blooded and Raksha-Blooded, taking Charms/Arcanoi/Arts as appropriate. At Storyteller discretion such characters that would not otherwise be allowed to learn spirit Charms (namely Ghost-Blooded and Raksha-Blooded) may learn 'Essence Plethora' and other spirit Charms as appropriate.
- There are no confirmed reports of Abyssal Half-Castes. Hope that it stays that way.
