The haft of this long spear is made of a whiteish goldish coloured wood. Worked all up and down it are inlays done in Orichalcum. A spun silver and gold cloth covers the blade head of the weapon. When the cloth is removed a blade of fire ignites from the tip of the weapon like a sliver of the sun itself. A dangerous and famed weapon it was used in the First Age most noticeably against the Behemoth Juggernaut along with many other weapons slaying the beast. There are two sets of power to this weapon. The first comes when the spear is hooded. The second comes with its firey blade is unleashed. There are also two hearthstone sockets with this. One near the blade end and another near the middle of the haft.

While the weapon is hooded there is no dangerous points on it. It is much like a quarterstaff really and does bashing damage only. In fact the weapon can not kill while hooded. At most it will reduce a person to being unconsciousness. It can not do lethal while hooded. However the weapons power is constrained like this and flows backwards from the head to the user. His movements are faster and lighter adding to his defense. The Artifact gives the user a bonus to DVs equal to the users essence.

When the bag is off the power of the weapon flows into the burning blade at the tip. No longer a weapon of defense this spear strikes with the accuracy and damage of the Sun God. The bonus to the users DV now becomes a success bonus to attacking. Furthermore the blade of fire is so hot and holds such a deadly edge it will ignore all non-natural soak.

Counts as Orichalcum for matters of attunement.
