This artifact hails from the factories and forges of the Shogunate. A prototype to a new line of artifacts to suit up the Legions with, or perhaps a hand commissioned wonder for a potent Daimyo is not so clear. Still it is a distinctive relic and has been in the hands of the Immaculate Order for the last 600 years as one of those weapons given to the Wyld Hunt when they bring the fight to the Anathema.

The Dragon Eye Circlet has seen the deaths of no less than 20 Anathema. 16 Lunars and 4 Solars. Often worn on the brow of the leader of that individual hunt. In places like Abalone after 100 years they still speak of the burning eye on the Monk that brought low the Lunar demon Hyurin the Manta. In the Lap a popular play tells the story of Thrice Just the Wood Immaculate, who lead a Wyld Hunt from there with a single blazing eye and slew the unnamed Solar at steps of a forgotten Thousand Forged Dragon Silo. The Marukani even grudgingly speak in respectful tones of the false Horselord, a Lunar who tried to unite them and usurp their own god and how the Realm came on steeds and with blades of jade, lead by one with a burning red eye to capture the creature and take it home to see justice at the Empresses hands.

This artifact takes the form of a circlet of red jade. However the circlet is worked in such a way that it holds a ruby to snugly fit over one eye of its wearer. When attuned to the artifact lets its user see the inherent fire essence in all things of Creation and so they see people and creatures as dancing flames. Intuiting the secret meaning behind the fires movements the character enjoys a +1 bonus to both their Dodge and Parry DVs.

Additionally they can give of themself to the fire, harnessing their own inner latent fire essence to act with swiftness beyond imagining. By spending a point of willpower the character may counterattack all attacks from a single target for one tick. Each counterattack is at full dice pool and gains a stacking bonus die for each attack made. So the first attack is at +1 die, the second +2 dice, the third at +3 dice, etc. When so used the character's movements seem to leave burning spark contrails in their wake.

At all times when attuned the ruby takes the form of a burning draconic eye where one of the user's own would be which incidentally grants +3 dice on any social attempt that uses intimidation in some way. The downside of this artifact however is that it yields no bonus against demons, creatures from Autocthon, or anything that does not partake of Creation's essence in some way. Not all things possess the five elements of Creation in them afterall and against them they have a regular seeming.
