In the First Age the tactics of warfare were different than the second age. Based more around mobility or assaulting heavily fortified places. Trenches and earthworks were not as valued when one could bring in a wide array of force against a point such as air or fast moving flanking forces. Given these truths there were other designs of the Most Resolute Armor of the Earth Dragon used by the Dragonblooded. Dubbed Advancing Wall Pattern Earth Dragon Armor this armor was designed for advancing on positions while under fire such as assailing strongholds that would have defenders trying to thin out attackers before they reach the walls.
In terms of looks the armor is very similar to the Most Resolute Armor of the Earth Dragon. Bulky and strong, heavy white jade plates. Yet studding along each arm of the armor are a series of red jade runes and power channeling refined quartz nodes. These glow with soft light when activated. The armor has all the regular features of Dragon Armor. It provides a +3 bonus to Strength for feats of strength and inflicting damage. The armor also provides +15L/+15B for soaks. The suit has two unique features.
Structural Reinforcement Plating: Given this suit is designed to take heavy fire and damage it is designed with redundant systems and armor that will take damage in place of its wearer. Should a single attack or environmental hazard deal enough damage to the wearer to fill all its health levels of a certain type (-1, -2, and so on), any damage beyond that amount is prevented. The armor can only protect a certain health level type once before requiring repairs.
Shield Projection Nodes: The arms of the suit are designed to project barriers of force around the user and in a wide radius around them. Those within the field gain a cover bonus to their DV of +4. The field covers an area of Essence*5 yards. It can be roughly adjusted however so that it can cover different areas than just a circle around the wearer. Normally it would be shaped to cover a larger area to the back and sides. Several users of this kind of armor spearheading an assault force who follows behind, enjoying the fields advantages to protect them from defensive ranged weapons until they are close enough to move into hand to hand combat. This feature costs 3m for Essence actions of use.
