His Family, the Tepet House, His Brotherhood

Vim is a handsome young dynast. His skin bares an unmistakeable green tint of the Wood Aspect and he has a natural almost sandlewood smell about him. Long hair the colour of mahogony flows back from his head and down to between his shoulders. His eyes are sky blue and he moves with the grace of swaying willow tree. He is rarely dressed in the current styles, but he also does not dress in an old style, no he likes to try new things and make up his own fashions as he goes. Yet no matter what he wears he makes sure to look good in it and that the materials are very fine.

Vim was born in the city of Noble 18 years before the Empress vanished. Of his 6 siblings 5 had already exalted and it was very likely they would as well. As such from a younger then normal age he had home schooling. This is likely where he got his want to get out from his family's thumb. But he did well in his lessons and showed an early skill in combat areas which made his martial parents happy. He also showed a pleasing interest and skill with the flute. He had like each of his siblings his own personal tutor. His first tutor was very harsh and strict and suffered an accident when Vim was 7. This lead to him getting a second teacher who sensed the boy's wish for some freedom and was less strict in his teaching. This helped to keep Vim from becoming a completely rebellious youth. At the age of 9 he was accepted into one of the top schools in the Imperial City.

His first year at the Academy of Most Enlightened Methods went well. At the end of his first year he exalted at the age of 10. School went well for him. He did well in his subjects and did very well in the areas of politics, combat and music. A well rounded child that made friends easily and had a definite future ahead of him. His years in Primary school were normal enough. He did nothing truely outstanding that set him apart from the others. He studied, trained, drank, smoked, partied, and lost his viginity in those school years. This was as all the other students did. When school finished for the year he returned to his family's house in Noble. He enjoyed the off time and there was usually a sibling there for him to visit with. He always had gotten along better with his brother and sisters then his parents.

After graduating from his school his parents arranged for him to be accepted into the House of Bells. He adjusted well enough to the military like discipline of this school and trained hard at it. His parents were pleased and left him mostly alone at the school since he kept high grades in what they felt counted. This suited him fine. He met his betrothed a few times during vacations. She was a few years older and was also a Tepet training at the Heptagram. When he graduated his parents held a large party for him. He had received some offers to join up with Tepet's legions but said he wanted some adventure first. This was fine with them. His only request was enough cash to get started and hire his own men. This they allowed and with money and troops disappeared into the threshold. He was 21 at this point. The empress had been gone for 3 years.

He landed in Kirigast and started there. He spent his time with his troops looking for small troubles to take care of. Bandits, strange beasts, these were how he passed his time for the first year. He and his men sometime took a Hero's Rights from those they saved but never if the people were opposed to it. While in the mountains north and west of Lap he happened across some struggling merchants. They claimed to have found a new type of grape that only grew at high altitudes. These grapes were guarded though by terrible bird beasts. Strange mixes of man and parrot. Working out a deal with the merchants he and his troops went up the mountain and battled the inbred children of a long dead lunar. Victorius over them he took the lunar's manse for his own. The deal with the merchants meant a steady income from the unique wine that would be made here. Popular in the major cities of the south it is also what he serves when he hosts a party. This small group is the only source of the wine which makes it popular to a degree amongst the discriminating and rich Dynasty as well as those who dont want to get all their wines from V'neef.

The woman he was to marry died during the Tepet campaigns along with a great many good friends. He personally would love to run the Regent through for just being alive but holds his tongue on that matter...usually. His siblings have all survived and the loss of the Tepet legions brought the group a whole closer together. In time they could be a powerful force within the Tepet house. He is enjoying being back in the Realm. He travels and socializes, taking what he feels to be time off before seeing what he can do to help make his family a power in the Realm once more. He personally believes it will come in one of three ways. The return of the Empress who would restore them to balance the other two martial houses. Powerful weapons that may lay in the Threashold to find and claim. Gaining control of the Imperial Manse. Still there are countless other ways to help still and he will look into them all.

Familial Descent
Vim can trace his lineage directly to the empress through his own house line direct through Tepet himself. Marek is next and was married to a half sister with whom he started the family line. They gave birth to Anya. She married a Cathak Artus and from them came Marianne. Marianne married a 4 times removed cousin Tepet Demus. Those two produced Rosa who married Ledaal Vorst. A short marriage they still had a few children including Tepet Celis. She married another from her house Tepet Dain. They produced the brilliant General Tepet Misha. Forced into a marriage with Sesus Taven she ended up killing him on the night of their marriage. However it was after consumation and she turned out pregnant with all signs indicating that he was the father. The wood elemental signs were very strong in the child and she had her fathers distinct eye colour. She was named Tepet Arsato. She was a less rambunctious child and married Tepet Sul. She bore Tepet Rana. She married Ragara Nolk. From them came Tepet Arianna. She married Tepet Rashan. Finally came his mother Tepet Rydia who married Cathak Janus. Every person in this line of descent has been a Dragon-Blood. From Tepet Arsato, who was a Wood Aspect, on the family line has bred with only other Wood Aspects and born a great favoring of Wood Aspects in the line. They retained their strong breeding through carefully chosen matches more for the strength of the blood then the diplomatic advantages.

From those two came his familly. He is the 7th child and youngest. He has 5 sisters and one brother. The lot of them managed to survive the loss of the Tepet legions with only the loss of their parents. The youngest sister is named Tepet Misha, after her ancestor. In order of him to the oldest it goes Vim, Misha, Rei, Arana, Lasa, Elyn and Davius makes up the full 7. All exalted and all wood aspects.

Plot Hooks

 • Vim is an independantly wealthy young dynast with an independant income supply not at all beholden to the Realm's familial handouts. His impecable breeding and history would make him the perfect catch for any dynast seeking a husband. He doesn't want to get married though so what will it take to catch this ones hand?
 • This brat of the decadant Imperial Isle has desecrated one of the Lunar's manses and fled back to his home. Vengence must be had but what lunar will chase him there to avenge this?
 • V'neef can't let someone start up a new winetrade like this. He must be stopped or coopted into their house. On the other hand, other houses wouldn't mind seeing someone else break the V'neef monopoly and will help out him to keep him from being dealt with.
