Description
Hundred Song Whisper is slim and willowy. She stands halfway between 5 and 6 feet, a small woman who nonetheless can project a strong presence without the need for great stature. Her long dark hair hangs free down to her waist, and though its a pain she refuses to cut it shorter for ease of handling. Crystal blue eyes come out from a slim pale face with high cheekbones. Her mouth is small but perfectly shapes every word she makes with perfect pronounciation. Her hands and skin are smooth and light from time spent indoors learning instead of outdoors working. She could use a tan, but burns easily so avoids the direct sunlight.
She has 2 silver hoop earings, one in each ear and a diadem with a single emerald stone rests on her brow. She likes to dress in strong, deep purples, and her dresses have voluminous sleeves that only come up to the mid-bicep. From there a pair of straps connect it to the rest of the dress but leaves the shoulders somewhat bare. Red and black embroirdery works along the edges of the dress. Simple brown shoes hide beneath the hem of the long purple skirt, occasionally seen when she is in a hurry.
History
Hundred Song Whisper comes from the land of Tima. This land is a very unique land within the southern Scavanger Lands near the Hundred Kingdoms known a a place where everyone speaks in music. Notes are combined and sung as words and sentances. This has given them a highly unique tool that they have used to resist occupation before. A complete refusal to learn any non-music tongue makes it hard to dominate them, as one must learn their language and once you learn a new language you pick up some of the mentality of that culture. This means that in time those who have conquered their land in time become more and more of their culture and then are just assimilated into it.
In that land she was a young teacher in training at their primary university. She had a brilliant mind that would have been ideal for a life of savantry and study but she wanted to not just expand her own knowledge, but lead others down the same path of enlightenment. She trained hard for the difficult tests required of one to be a teacher, and given her youth knew more then anything else that she had to do well.
She gained a perfect score on the test, the only time anyone ever has. Sadly she doesn't know this, because by the time she was finished writing it she was illuminated with a glow of golden light, ancient memories giving her clues to answer the questions. Her life for the next few weeks were a blur of hurried flight and stealth and introspection.
She came to a village, built on the grounds of an old lunar manse in the wilds that was once a hunting lodge and training ground. The people in the village that had sprung up nearby had started to get sick, suffering from strange poisonings from the energies that had started to leak from the manse as it fell into disrepair. She roughly communicated that she would help to them, not knowing Riverspeak yet and quickly discerned the problem and was able to restore the proper geomancy of the area. As the people showed her their thanks she decided to stay here, to educate and elevate the lives of these people and to learn to control her own powers. They know what she is, but she saved their lives and such things are good for breaking ancient propaganda.
