Summary Report

This profile is intended to be read as the bulk of the character's dossier on file in the Manse of Forbidding Ivy. Several different sidereals contributed to its composition over a fifty-year period, including members of both factions.

Identity

The man who calls himself Ashmedai was born Asher Maroth on the twenty-first day of Descending Air, RY 732, under the House of the Sword, with a star in the Messenger. "Ashmedai" is the name he took upon joining the All-Seeing-Eye. After his exaltation and subsequent break with that organization, he kept the name to remember how badly he had been manipulated by his keepers, and also to remember the blood he had spilled on their behalf.

Necessity has often dictated the use of aliases over the years, including the names Hawk, Raesh Otham, Blackmantle, Ashen Hawk, Tepet Breaker (as in Breaker, from House Tepet), Barrow Ash, Withered Oak, and Cirrus. Cirrus is known to be the name of his previous solar incarnation.

He tends to discourage the use of his nickname, "Ash," save with those he considers family or very close friends. As such, he has given the name power over his emotions, so judicious use could serve as another tie to his affections, at need.
