Pandemoniac Mistress
- Art 5ish

- Moonsilver
- Made in the high First Age by a powerful Lunar warrior for his Solar consort, this grand grimscythe was crafted to be gift, tool, and warning. Mighty in combat and grave in consequence, the Pandemoniac Mistress tempts with madness and power to all around it, invariably reducing battlefields into bloody chaos. Never let it be said the the favor of a Child of Luna was a gentle thing.
- The Pandemoniac Mistress is seemingly a normal moonsilver grand grimscythe with room for a single hearthstone. However, it has a single ability for which it was both famed and feared in the first age. The attuned wielder may invoke this ability, dubbed the Hymn of Consummation in times past, by spending 1 willpower and a miscelleneous action.
- Upon activation, the scythe writhes and deforms, unfolding not unlike the petals of a grotesque flower to reveal a sliver of something dark and pulsing at the centre of the blade. For the rest of the scene, every time the scythe is swung, it emits a wyld scream of rage and lust which haunts and maddens those who hear it. All characters within (owner's ess) x50 yards must roll (willpower + essence) at difficulty 5 to resist a wyld-based shaping effect. This explicitly effect the rank and file of complementary units. Failure maddens the character, increasing her combat prowess at the expense of humanity, granting a wyld-based mutation having the following effects:
- One level of Sociopathic Detachment (Lunars pg210), Obsession with violence (Wyld pg150), and a Delusion that she is the strongest fighter alive (Wyld pg149)
- +1 Valor, -2 Drill, and +1 on all combat pools
- An additional bonus die for stunts involving either reckless violence or cold brutality. This does not increase mote regen from stunts. Stunt dice may not be more than doubled.
- This effect is a permanent wyld deformity, and stacks up to a maximum of three times; units with valor 6 or above are considered to have perfect morale. Drill can't go below zero.
- The attuned wielder of the Pandemonaic Mistress is in no way immune to this effect. Indeed, the deformity has an additional effect upon the wielder: bonus stunt dice from appropriate stunts *do* increase mote regen. Willpower may be regained instead of 4 motes of essence as desired (ie, a doubled 3 dice base stunt could regen 3 willpower, or 12 motes, or any combination of the two).
Split Synapse Visor
- Art 5ish, commit 8
- The eyes are said to be the most direct interface to the mind. These visors operate on that principle, and the focus the attention and speed of the user's mind and essence on the present to such a degree that all else is lost. Such focus is exhausting, though. For all combat-time rolls, reflexively activating the Split Synapse Visor for 2m may add (Wits) in autosuccesses. Every invocation counts as a half hour of hard exercise.
- For all dramatic rolls, reflexively activating the Split Synapse Visor for 2m may reduce the time taken for that dramatic roll by a factor of (Wits). Every invocation counts as half a day without food and water.
Death's Eye
- Art 5, attune 5
- These dark eyepieces are crafted with a shard of oblivion, allowing the user to see the flaws that permeate all things of creation. By striking these flaws, the very fabric of creation may be unwoven. By making a called shot and spending 1L HL (step 1), the following effects are available:
- 1 external penalty called shot: +10L raw damage is added, and the piercing tag is gained on any attack. This strike may hit dematerialized spirits.
- 2 external penalty called shot: as -1, additionally +10L damage is added post-soak
- 3 external penalty called shot: as -2, additionally all damage is aggravated, inanimate objects take an additional +20L post-soak.
- 4 external penalty called shot: as -3, additionally anything killed is destroyed as completely as if it were thrown into the Well of Oblivion.
Fist of the Bear King
- This oversized moonsilver gauntlet, shaped as a claw nearly the size of a man, can stretch to grasp and hold most anything, on the battlefield or off.
- Art: 5ish
- attune: 6m, 1L health level
- Speed 5, Acc +4, Damage +7L, Rate: 3 Def: +4
- Abilities:
- The sheer size of this weapon allows it to serve dual function as a shield. Consider it a normal moonsilver tower shield.
- The wielder of this weapon may freely make feats of strength as a miscellenous action in combat.
- Attuning this artifact opens up a second charm slot per action, which may be used only for charms involved in lifting and other feats of strength.
- This claw is made to work well with improvised weapons of all kinds. Use stats above as base for any improvised weapons wielded with it, increasing the damage and other tags as necessary.
- Objects lifted with the claw may be freely used as improvised melee weapons. Base damage increase is double the (strength+athletics) total needed to lift, and is considered peircing.
- Things thrown with the claw go 5x normal distance. This stacks with other effects.
- The ease of lifting and large movement this claw gives decreases the time required for any dramatic action primarily involving lifting or moving objects (including digging and large-scale construction) by a factor of (strength+athletics). This may be increased with charms.
The Bear God Hand
- The now-extinct sand bear of the south was a strange creature. Seemingly slow and useless, until it was roused into action, when its viciousness was renowned: an unpredictable and dangerous monster for all those around it. The people of the south breathed a sigh of relief when the last one was hunted down and killed.
- This orichalcum "smashfist" is not a typical smashfist. It is more of a case for the arm than a proper gauntlet, lacking the protection and benefits most weapons would provide. However, this is its dormant state. When the true power of the Bear God Hand is unleashed the casings themselves fly off and the energy channeled though them is released through the body of the wielder.
- Stats: none (single bracer in terms of slot)
- Attune: 6m
- Abilities:
- "My Arm!"-By spending 10m and a miscellenous action, the wielder gains a 'stock' of of fully independent actions equal to his martial arts. These actions may be flurried, and charms/combos used in them as desired. Spending one of these actions refreshes DV. These actions may not be used for dramatic actions, and if unused will disappear at the end of the scene. This ability may not be used again until all fully independent actions are spent.
Fivefold Fundamentals of the Prismatic Arsenal
- Art 5 Orichalcum Grand Daiklaive
- Made of a curious crystaline form of Orichalcum, this grand daiklaive refracts light strangely, giving off a golden-tinged rainbow. Its power lies not in its overwhelming might, but rather its versatility in a number of situations. It has the following abilities:
- Prismatic Shifting--Paying 1 mote as reflexive action (step 1 attack, 2 defense), the magic material bonus of the weapon may be changed for the rest of the scene. Any color of Jade (barring Yellow) may be used.
- Prismatic Alignment: Heaven’s Judgement--While having Orichalcum MM bonus, the user may reflexively pay 2m in step 10 of the attack to convert one damage die into a success. Against creatures of darkness, this success is considered aggravated.
- Prismatic Alignment: Fivefold Unity--While having any Jade MM bonus, the user may reflexively spend 2m to change the target of one of her melee excellencies to a nearby (<10 yards) ally instead of herself. This counts as the full use of that excellency on that tick, and the added dice are capped at the regular charm dice limits of the target. Extra dice outside the cap are lost.
- Prismatic Alignment: Mirror Fangs--While having Moonsilver MM bonus, the user may reflexively pay 2m to split the weapon into two for that tick. These weapons may be wielded one-handed with no penalty, but off-hand penalty still applies.
- Prismatic Alignment: Boundry Dictum--While having Starmetal MM bonus, the user may reflexively commit 4 motes to the weapon. While these motes are committed, beings outside of fate suffer an internal penalty of (user’s essence) while attacking or defending against her.
- Prismatic Alignment: Nether Strike--While having Soulsteel MM bonus, the user may pay 1m in stage 1 of an attack. If that attack hits, the target will dissipate an additional 3 motes in addition to those normally lost through being hit with soulsteel.
Snarl of Unfolding Brass
- Art 5? 4? I dunno.
- Spd 6, acc +1, dam +18B/9, def +4, rate 2, tags: O
- Str min 9
- This rounded-edge Sai, trimmed in runed black lead, is composed of seeming liquid brass, whose surface ever churns and twists. This is not a superficial effect—for this weapon is made of the physical aspect of the ever-expanding layers of Malfeas itself, turning upon its own outside as they do. Unattuned, this weapon weighs far, far more than it would be expected (minimum 25 str+ath pool—due to size only limited cooperation may be used to lift), though its weight is no more destructive than a normal-sized object of equivalent weight would be. Attuned, it requires merely amazing strength to wield.
- Things which touch the churning brass blade of this weapon suffer more severe effects, as they pass the boundry that seperates the inside of the blade from the outside world ever so slightly. Knockback from this weapon is automatic,w ith alll checks to avoid knockback failing; knockback distance is 3x (raw damage). Any time this weapon successfully parries a weapon or is successfully parried, the wielder gets a reflexive step 9 -0 DV counterattack effect. This effect shatters mortal weapons instantly and, against artifact weapons, is a disarm attempt with +9 autosuccesses on the attack roll. Successful disarming throws the weapon 45 yards in a direction of the wielder’s choice.
- In certain texts there is rumored to be a connection between this weapon and Ligier, but no further details are known.
The Fourfold Channels: Despair, Innocence, Anger, Freedom
- Art 5
- commonly called Four Leaves
- non-MM baneclaw.
- A short, ancient tool made from an undefinable woodlike material, this artifact is similar in shape to a wide baneclaw. It has wide prongs, one of which is seemingly broken off and wrapped in runed leather. It is largely unremarkable in appearance, looking like a crude, improvised sai-like weapon. However this appearance belies its power, as it was crafted from things long ago made and discarded, predating even Creation. With such time, the true meaning and purpose of this tool has been lost--it is only used now as an implement of destruction.
- Attunement to this artifact does not require motes. Instead, the identity of the wielder must be committed. While committed, all identifying characteristics of the character disappear, and the character's very nature is submersed beneath anonynimity. This is not a subtle effect, as the character in all regards seems like nobody in particular. The character loses all basic identifying characteristics. Getting around this is treated as making a disguise. Unlike normal artifacts, de-attuning an identity takes the same amount of time as attuning.
- While attuned, this artifact grants the following effects:
- The character ignores all appearance modifiers to his MDV, and grants no modifiers from his own appearance.
- The character may reflexively destroy one of his intimacies to gain (essence) successes on any roll, or to raise any static value by (essence)x2 for a single instant. Regaining that intimacy takes twice as many scenes as it did before, and this effect stacks.
- The character may reflexively sacrifice a dot in any virtue to succeed on any single roll or cause any single roll targetting him to fail. Virtues may not be reduced below zero, and if any virtue is at zero, this artifact may not be de-attuned.
