ArtifactCreationExamples/BlizzardChakrams

This is another simple example. These Chakrams are pretty simple, so we'll start with the base level 1 stats for a thrown Artifact:

Thrown: Accuracy +0, Damage +4L, Rate 2, Range 20\\ Melee: Speed +0, Accuracy +0, Damage +4L, Defence +0\\ Committment: 1 Essence

Chakrams are, I think, virtually useless for hand-to-hand combat, and the character these are for certainly won't be using them for that purpose, so we can happily sacrifice Melee capability for +2 damage.

Thrown: Accuracy +0, Damage +6L, Rate 2, Range 20\\ Committment: 1 Essence

Now, I'd like them to be more accurate and fly further than an ordinary chakram, so we'll convert 2 points of damage into 4 points of accuracy, and 1 point of damage into 10 yards of range.

Thrown: Accuracy +4, Damage +3L, Rate 2, Range 30\\ Committment: 1 Essence

Finally, we now want to make the chakrams a set of returning weapons; each of these enhancements increases the level of the Artifact by 1, so we end up with a level 3 set of Artifacts with these stats:

Thrown: Accuracy +4, Damage +3L, Rate 2, Range 30\\ Special: Set, Returning\\ Committment: 3 Essence

This is without material bonuses; these are called Blizzard Chakrams because they are made of blue jade, and leave a trail of ice crystals in the air behind them. Adding in the jade thrown bonuses from the ArtifactCreationErrata, we get a final set of stats like this:

Thrown: Accuracy +4, Damage +3L, Rate 3, Range 40\\ Special: Set, Returning\\ Committment: 3 Essence

The only unanswered question is whether the set is now considered to consist of three chakrams, since the jade bonus increases the rate to 3? I would say yes, since otherwise the rate increase is unusable, but this should be left up to your discretion.
