AlternateMechanics/DSAlternateManuvers
So, these manuvers are primarily intended for mortal level combat, but I could see an Exalt using them.
Counterattack
Before declaring a parry, drop three dice. If the parry is still successful, the defender may make an immediate counterattack on the person who attacked them, with a number of dice equal to their margin of success. A counterattack may not be used in response to a counterattack, does not require a seperate action for purposes of held actions and weapon rate (it's considered a part of the parry).
Redirection
Before declaring a dodge, drop three dice. If the dodge is still successful, the defender may choose to redirect the attack to another target. Functionally, they make a new attack roll with the margin of success as dice, and a base damage equal to the attacker's original base damage. This can only be used if their is someone reasonably close that the defender could have 'feinted' towards.
Sheathing the Sword
To use Sheathing the Sword, the defender neither parries nor dodges an attack- instead, they throw themselves on to the blade. This turns the weapon's damage into automatic successes, and the rest of the damage is rolled as per normal. However, before dying, the defender may make one full dicepool attack (suffering no wound penelties) on the attacker. The attack comes on their initative beat; after it, they are either shaken from the sword or expire.
