At first look its an ordinary six foot long, one foot wide, one inch thick, red jade grand daiklave. When a hearthstone is put into one of the three hearthstone sockets the holster of the sword begins to burn causing 2L damage of unsoakable nonmagical fire damage per hearthstone every scene.

The sockets are located in the middle of the T area on the swords hilt(one on each side) and another on the pommel.

The blade is dull and cumbersome before hearthstones are placed into it.

When a one dot hearthstone is placed inside the weapon gains
+1 speed +1 accuracy +1L damage

When a two dot hearthstone is placed inside the weapon gains
+1 to all physical attributes

When a three dot hearthstone is placed inside the weapon gains
+1 speed +1 accuracy +1L damage +1 physical attributes

When a four dot hearthstone is placed inside the weapon gains
+2 speed +2 accuracy +2L +2 physical attributes +1 extra successes on presence rolls

When a five dot hearthstone is placed inside the weapon gains
+2 speed +2 accuracy +4L +2 physical attributes +2 extra successes on presence rolls

All hearthstone bonuses are cumulative.
Only Fire and solar hearthstones can power this Artifact.
All hearthstones lose there abilities because there used to power this artifact.
If all the hearthstones powering the weapon are Fire the user gains Immunity both magical and nonmagical fire damage.
As hearthstones are added the weapon refines and gets sharper, swifter, and more durable;
however, It is an extremely fragile weapon when there are no hearthstones in it and easily broken.

When certain fire hearthstones are used the blade gains special properties as listed.

Gem of Bones to Fire
Sword gains unsoakable fire damage up to users essence score on successful hit
Gem of the Calm Heart
The user of the Blade feels at ease with his virtues and gains a free success for every attempt at a virtue
roll while weilding the sword.
Jewel of Hungry Fire
Wielder of the Will of Power spends 3motes at will and gains a flaming forcefield around him/her
burnable objects hitting the user burn up or begin to burn.ex. Normal arrows burn before they hit. If an attack
is to be made on the user a valor roll difficulty 1 is required.
