Sesus Nagezzer's Calibration Party

This was one of my first ideas for a story starter. I scrapped it because I didn't feel up to dreaming up really convoluted intrigue plots, and didn't want to put out an Exalted story with no action at all as WBM's first offering.

This would be a gimmick story, where the gimmick is similar to the TV show 24. The Slug is throwing a Calibration party, and every episode represents a particular interval of time, like an hour (probably longer, since sustaining a 60 episode run is a little over-optimistic). It would also be a fairly low-action story, for the most part; the focus would be mainly on intrigue and such.

The Slug throws a party! Various miscreants and luminaries are invited. Each episode is one hour long.

Possible subplots... Some dastardly villain wants to assassinate Nagezzer, or someone else important. One of the guests may or may not be involved in a seditious plot. Will the truth be discovered? Generic Dynastic intrigue is afoot! Something important happens, which demands the Slug's attention. Can he attend to business without insulting his guests? Heck, for all I know, the Ebon Dragon and Miss Scarlet make their big entrance.

The plan which I partially developed had to do with one of the guests being a highly-placed military officer, whose plans Slug needed to know in order to assess whether or not he was a threat to the Realm, and if not, if he could be swayed to the Slug's purposes. The general was going to be an Air Aspect with a well-known obsession with flight. As luck would have it, one of Nagezzer's slaves happens to be a Wyld-mutated/minor God-Blooded woman with bird wings (originally purchased for his menagerie, but ended up being his accountant instead). He offers her freedom if she can charm the information out of the general. The Slug's nephew Arjan (who also made an appearance in my next aborted idea) is also involved. Intrigue ensues. What will our heroine discover? Why has the Slug offered her such an outrageously generous incentive? Is this all part of some larger plot?
