Stamina Arts
Crevice-Sealing Suffusion
Cost: 2 blood feast per 1L/2B
Duration: Instant
Type: Suffusion
Minimum Stamina: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: None

This Art renders the Kaishar subtly different, physically speaking, than before. The change is inconspicuous until that time in which he becomes wounded, and then it is obvious. His flesh, having adopted an alabaster, waxen quality, does not bleed, and in fact mends itself together swiftly when gashed, sealing up almost instantly at times. He may heal bashing damage at an expense of one point of blood feast per health level, and lethal at an expense of two points of blood feast per health level. No more blood feast may be spent on this Art per turn than the Kaishar has total Stamina Arts. Suffusion Arts may be used in the same turn as other Suffusion Arts. No more than the Kaishar’s permanent Essence in Suffusion Arts may be activated per turn.

Victim’s Final Boon
Cost: 3 blood feast
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Stamina: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Arts: Crevice-Sealing Suffusion

By giving up the blood Essence he would normally gain from fully devouring a mortal, the Kaishar transforms feeding into a ceremony of miraculous proportion. Activating this Art transfers every health level taken from the Kaishar’s prey to the Kaishar himself, so that he may heal himself of the wounds he has suffered.

Dim Bastion Suffusion
Cost: 1 blood feast per die
Duration: One scene
Type: Suffusion
Minimum Stamina: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: None

Lent from the unholy, oozing stolen blood within the Kaishar, power flows steadily throughout his bones and flesh, making them resilient, though still pliant enough to move without hindrance. For every point of blood feast spent activating this Art, the Kaishar may raise his effective Stamina by one for the scene. The Kaishar may not add more dice to Stamina than he has total Stamina Arts. Suffusion Arts may be used in the same turn as other Suffusion Arts. No more than the Kaishar’s permanent Essence in Suffusion Arts may be activated per turn.

Statue of Dead Flesh
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Stamina: 2
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: Dim Bastion Suffusion

Kaishar are creatures of subtle and slow change, but also of great potential strength. Kaishar with this Art demonstrate this: upon taking this Art, the Kaishar’s flesh hardens and grows chill, rocklike. Even the hue and texture of the Kaishar’s flesh changes, adopting the features of local stone near the place of the Kaishar’s creation. The benefits and drawbacks of this Art are several. First, the Kaishar is able to soak lethal damage with his bashing soak. Second, the Kaishar may add three levels of soak to that for the first purchase of this Art. Subsequent purchases of this Art add two more levels to this total, but at a cost. Every subsequent purchase gives the Kaishar a permanent –1 penalty to mobility, though the first only gives a bonus. This Art only counts once towards the maximum amount of Stamina Arts the Kaishar may learn, no matter how many times he may purchase it. It also only counts once towards the total Stamina Arts the Kaishar knows, for the purposes of limiting other Arts of the same attribute. A Kaishar may not have more instances of any single Art than he has permanent Essence.

Ox-Body Technique
Cost: [[NoneTheKaishar/Varies]]
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Stamina: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: None

This Art represents the supernatural vigor of the Kaishar, far exceeding that of living beings. This Art may be purchased multiple times, each time giving the Kaishar an extra –1 health level, to a maximum of the Kaishar’s permanent Essence.

Unyielding Vigilance Meditation
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Stamina: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: None

Solidifying his corpse body with the unchanging nature of the thing he has become, the Kaishar finds he may eventually grow to be as permanent as a statue, if not sometimes more so. This Art grants the Kaishar the ability to remain absolutely still whenever he so requires it, for however long he may remain awake and aware. No stimuli, force of nature or emotion may sway this supernatural stillness if he does not wish it to.

Devoted Seeker Trance
Cost: 1 blood feast per day
Duration: Varies
Type: Simple
Minimum Stamina: 3
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Arts: Unyielding Vigilance Meditation

Some Kaishar find that they have a recurring tendency toward single-minded dedication to goals or objects, in some way or another. Many times, as watchers and manipulators, they must stay active for days or weeks at a time. Driving their Stamina with the power of sanguine Essence, Kaishar possessing this Art may go for days without any rest at all. The number of days he may remain active is limited by his total Stamina Arts. This limit may be exceeded at the price of gaining one Consumption point per extra day active, until he rests. Resting eight hours fully renews the Kaishar, no matter how long he has been active under the effects of this Art. This Art may be upgraded. If the Kaishar decides to purchase this Art again after he has gained or exceeded a permanent Essence score of 3 or more, he may do so. This upgrade does not count as a new Stamina Art, but rather as an extension of this Art. When upgraded again, this Art forever inures the Kaishar to slumber. The character actually loses his ability to rest altogether, and will never sleep again – whether or not he wishes to. Nor, he discovers, does he need the rest any more. He will no longer suffer any penalties for being awake too long – but now he must face the gaping stretch of eternity without the relief of dreams. This Art renders the Kaishar completely immune to any magical effects inducing sleep or unconsciousness.
