Might

Prowess

Feather-Weight Technique
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Primal Strength
Using her great strength, the Lunar makes an object she carries light as a feather and just as maneuverable. Trees become as nimble as staves, pillars simple as tetsubos, long steel rods as swords. They become as extensions of his body, conduits to his fury as perfect as his own fists! This Charm negates any negative rating of any weapon statistic, be it improvised or otherwise, for the remainder of the scene. Those are rest to +0, regardless of how penalizing they were before. The Lunar also ignores a number of points from Strength Requirements for such weapons equal to his Essence.

Yeddim's Back Method
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
Lunar Exalted have endless might and endurance. Invoking this Charm allows the Lunar to lift objects as if her effective Strength+Athletics rating were doubled. She mantains this Superhuman might as long as the motes remain committed for this Charm, and for this duration, she suffers no fatigue from extreme lifting.

Become the Gigas
Cost: 14 motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Strength: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Yeddim's Back Method
There are legends of a time where beasts could reach to the sky. There are legends of a time even the lowliest of them was able to fight with Behemoths. Many of those Legends are creations of the Lunar Exalted, who can let the spark of the Incarna within them shine, and become great as the Celestial Body in the Night Sky. The Lunar touches the ground, absorbing power and might from their connection with Gaia... and they Become the Gigas. The shape the Lunar is currently transformed grows in height, becomes as great as a Warstrider. The Lunar may not shift his Shape until this Charm ends. But during this time, the Lunar...

  • ... doubles his -0 Health Levels.
  • ... doubles his -1 Health Levels.
  • ... add a number of -2 Health Levels equal to his Essence.
  • ... adds his Essence to his Strength and Stamina, which counts as Natural for the purpose of dice-adders.
  • ... ignores any and all damage that is less than half his Natural Soak.

While so enlarged, human-shaped targets receive 3 extra successes to strike the Lunar in close combat, and 2 if attacking the Lunar with ranged attacks. Moreover, the Lunar is akin to a Warstrider in all respects – he subtracts 2 successes from all attempts to strike targets smaller than 10 feet tall, and it becomes impossible for the Lunar to use Stealth or Survival without Charms – and even those begin their pool at 0. Tracking the Lunar does not even require a roll. Finally, he loses two dice on all awareness rolls to notice his surroundings, and a difficulty of 2 on all fine manipulation tasks.

Force

Might-Bolstering Blow
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Stamina: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
Lunar Exaled are creatures of great power, who revel and grow stronger in their might. When an attack supplemented by this Charm hits a target, the Lunar receives 1 mote per extra success, to a maximum of his Stamina. If the attack also inflicts damage, the Lunar receives 1 mote per damage success, to a maximum of his Stamina. This cannot take the Lunar's Essence pool above its maximum. This attack must be a display of the Lunar's prowess to provide any return in Essence. If there is no challenge in hitting a target, there is no return from striking it, and killing a pillow in one blow will not garner the Lunar any motes.

Subduing the Honored Foe
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
Lunars have no need to fight to the death, and sometimes a hunt is a sport undertaken only to know if the Lunar can catch his prey, without any desire to spill blood. When he wishes, the Lunar is just as able to knock his foes down as he is to destroy them. By means of Subduing the Honored Foe, the Lunar's damage becomes Bashing without any penalty for 'pulling his punches', will never cross over into Lethal, and a number of post-soak damage dice equal to the Lunar’s Essence are converted into automatic successes. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 1 mote, making all of the Lunar's attacks deal Bashing during the Fury, and to never cross over into Lethal.

Focus Shattering Shock
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Subduing the Honored Foe
Gathering strength and essence on his fist, the Lunar strikes with such incredible force that he disarranges the concentration of the enemy, breaking his focus and sending him in a wounded daze. Focus Shattering Shock supplements an attack - it adds the Lunar's Essence Rating to its damage, and if the Lunar rolls more damage successes than the opponent's Stamina attribute, he must make a successful Willpower roll with a difficulty equal to the Lunar’s Essence, or spend his next action shaking off disorientation from the attack.

Stance Breaking Strike
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Focus-Shattering Shock
Lunars fight in a liquid and protean, and they can recognize their antithesis, the fixed, rigid concentrations of Essence that are combat stances. With this Charm, the Lunar's blows become shocks that send his foes staggering back, all concentration and grace lost. An enemy struck by Stance Breaking Strike must roll Dexterity+Athletics or Performance with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Strength, plus 1 per every health level dealt by the attack. On a success, he remains graceful, with a mere penalty equal to the Lunar's Essence to all actions for the remainer of the turn due to lack of balance(Charms such as Graceful Crane Stance may counteract this effect). On a failure, the shock shakes the foundations of the enemy's body, and he loses the benefit of a single Athletics, Martial Arts, Melee or Performance Charm he currently has active, chosen by the Lunar, and must take an action to activate it once again. Martial Arts Forms are the most ordered of Charm Stances, and thus, if the Lunar's opponent has a Martial Arts Form Charm active, it must be the one lost to this Charm. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 3 motes, enhancing all strikes with the possibility to break Stances.

Mighty Bull Sprint
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: None
Nothing stops mighty bulls in the pastures of the East, and when they come upon obstacles such as trees, they just keep going, crushing the tree and pushing it in front of him as if he was pushing so much air. Rushing like a bull, the Lunar comes upon his foe and strikes with might force, pushing the enemy foward. The Lunar's strike knocks his foe back one yard for every dice of pre-soak damage. This does no damage by itself, but may do so if the Lunar's opponent falls from cliffs or suchlike. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, giving its benefits for the Duration.

Body Breaking Kata
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Mighty Bull Sprint
A charge of Essence meant to overwhelm and crush his foe, the Essence spent in this Charm manifests as a great nimbus in the shape of his Totem about the Lunar, obscuring his form, making him simply a powerful, deadly charging god-beast. An attack enhanced by Body Breaking Kata doubles the extra successes gathered by the Lunar, after defense and before soak is applied. Body Breaking Kata always does Lethal Damage.

Ferocious Biting Fang
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Body Breaking Kata
Blocking is a dangerous art, as one must interpose himself or his weapons against foes that may be much stronger than one's own limbs, risking having his weapon pulled away or his limbs ripped apart. Knowing this, a Lunar charges his strikes with essence, becoming so powerful that anything placed on his way is no less successful than water trying to stop a fist. Enemy weapons limbs are simply pushed aside in the force of this blow. The but the opponent's parry needs to roll 2 successes for each of the Lunar's own. An opponent struck by the Ferocious Biting Fang must make a Strength+Resistance roll with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Strength or be knocked to the ground, needing to take an action to clear his head and get up.

Shatter the Mold
Cost: 1 willpower, 1 health level
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Strength: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Stance Breaking Strike, Ferocious Biting Fang
Usually, a creature must know exactly how much strength to place in a blow, moving with his whole body's weight and his muscle's pressure behind his strikes to damage his foe. A shapeshifter, however, has no such limitations - upon striking a foe with any strength he desires, he suddenly sends a surge of essence, strength and pressure, the connecting limb swirling with rushing fury like a wrathful wave traveling through calm waters, sending the weight of a thousand blows into the enemy's body. Using this Charm, the Lunar may make use of any of its prerequisite Charms reflexively, after striking his foe. This secondary charm activation is countained within the activation of Shatter the Mold. It fully circumvents the need for movement in Charms such as Body-Breaking Kata.

Burning Fists Attack
Cost: 7 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Ferocious Biting Fang
The Lunar strikes with such force that moonlight appears to burn around him, augmenting his strike with the speed of flame and the strength of lighting! An attack enhanced by this Charm may not be blocked nor dodged with anything but an applicability-trumping defense. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, increasing the difficulty to parry or dodge the Lunar's attacks by 2.

Hold

Roused Bear Throw
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
Lunar Exalted are masters of close combat. However, at times they want enemies to be anywhere but close. When the Lunar takes control of a grapple, he may activate this Charm to throw his enemy (Strength x Essence) yards away in any direction. This does no damage by itself, but a long fall, or a fall on sharp objects or hazardous areas might.

Throat-Baring Hold
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
Great defenders, a Lunar may put herself in danger to ensure a foe’s defeat! This Charm gives the Lunar the option to inflict no damage in her clinch, but exposes his enemy’s weaknesses for all to see! The Lunar rolls Strength+Combat Ability, and reduces the enemy’s soak by 1 for each success on this roll until his next action. Although the character does not get a chance to exploit this weakness, her compatriots do.

Spine-Breaking Technique
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
An impressively brutal movement, the Spine-Breaking Technique demonstrates the awesome power of the Lunar's bestial nature, crushing flesh and bones under his hands as little more than glass. By means of this Charm, the Lunar turns a painful and incapacitating attack into a lethal demonstration of his prowess. The Lunar makes a clinch attack as normal, but may deal lethal damage instead of Bashing. It is very hard to avoid the Spine-Breaking Technique, and the Lunar converts a number of dice into automatic successes equal to his Essence in both the initial attempt and any roll to control the clinch. This Charm may be comboed despite its non-instant duration.

Jaws of the River Dragon
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Spine-Breaking Technique, Throat-Baring Hold
A Lunar’s mastery of how to change his own body provides a superior knowledge of how to destroy another’s! Changing his body into something terrible and cold as the jaws of the river dragon, the Lunar breaks and numbs an enemy’s body. The Lunar may activate this Charm when inflicting at least one health level in a clinch to...

  • ... reduce any of the target’s Physical Attributes by one.
  • ... reduce the target’s Appearance by one.
  • ... render a limb useless for the rest of the scene.

Exalted recover their loss at the rate of 1 dot per day, but it is permanent on mortals, at least until they receive supernatural aid(which also greatly speeds this regeneration). This Charm may be used more than once per action. Lowering an Attribute to 0 renders the character unable to take any action that requires it. For example, an Strength 0 character cannot inflict any damage, although she may still use effects that require a mere touch.

Cunning Porcupine Method
Cost: 5 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Spine-Breaking Technique
Sometimes, even the strongest Lunars seek to escape the clutches of their opponents and keep them at bay. Using the Cunning Porcupine Method, the Lunar covers himself in long, razor-sharp spines, be it real ones of bone or gems, or rapidly-shifting spines of silver light! This Charm creates a Natural Weapon that enhances clinches. Anyone who is clinching, or who attempts to clinch the Lunar after suffers great damage. The Lunar does +4L damage in unarmed combat, and his clinch damage becomes Strength+6L. He also adds 2 dice to all Clinch rolls from this weapon. Any who attack the Lunar bare-handed suffer levels of lethal damage equal to their own strength+3L, soaked normally. Any enemy holding the Lunar in the turn this Charm is activated must soak levels of lethal damage equal to the Lunar's Strength rating.

Deadly Urchin Blossom
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Cunning Porcupine Method
Shapeshifting is sometimes like the blossoming of a flower. Blossoming with the spikes on his body, the Lunar allows them to stretch outward from his body, like a terrifying urchin unfurling like a flower, tearing the flesh of everything around it. Using this Charm, the Lunar stretches his tentacles to make a single Strength+Brawl, Martial Arts or Melee attack with +2 accuracy, and apply it to all creatures within half his Stamina(round down) in yards in all directions. This attack has a base damage of 6L, plus extra successes. The spikes retract back into the Lunar's body as the attack finishes.

Crushing Cobra Hold
Cost: 6 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Spine-Breaking Technique
Holding the enemy like a cobra, the Lunar tightens his grip on his foe, making sure he cannot escape in any way. Once in the Lunar's grasp, the foe must overcome his strength... or be crushed underh is might. This Charm must be used to supplement a Clinch Control Contest - the opponent loses the option of breaking the clinch even if she takes control - she must choose between dealing damage or not, but leaving is impossible. This is a Perfect Effect.

Destruction

Obstacle-Breaking Method
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
Nothing may bar the Moon. Like Luna moves unimpeded in the night sky, so the Lunars walk upon Creation, and woe betide the gate that attempts to bar their way. Using this Charm, the Lunar strikes an inanimate object with a roar of fury! The Lunar doubles his raw damage(his damage, plus any extra successes) against inanimate objects, before soak is applied, or doubles his Strength+Athletics for feats of strength that involve destroying objects. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, giving its benefits for the Duration.

Burrowing Devil Strike
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Obstacle-Breaking Method
Deep within the Imperial Mountain the small diamond beetle digs endlessly through even the hardest stone and white jade. Locals call the beetle burrowing devil even as it leads them to rich veils for new mines. Lunars mimic this capability by striking with such force that their strikes tear through armor to strike at the soft flesh beneath. An attack enhanced by this Charm becomes piercing. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, making all attacks piercing for the duration of the Fury.

Diamond Beetle Hungers
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Strength: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Burrowing Devil Strike
This Charm enhances Burrowing Devil Strike with the endless hunger of the greatest diamond beetles, that burrow through jade as if it was but flesh, and stop only at the hardest adamant! The character becomes able to ignore armor completely when using the Burrowing Devil Strike. He must spend 1 willpower in the attack to do so, however.

Shell-Crushing Blow
Cost: 5 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Diamond Beetle Hungers
As hunters, Lunars know well how to break the shells of their prey. And as they break inward, they send their splinters into the soft, unprotected insides of their prey. Building upon this principle, the Lunar charges his strike with essence, breaking the shell of his victim and sending its slivers, charged with silver essence, into his opponent's body. The Lunar makes a close combat attack as normal, but ignores all soak provided by his opponent's armor. If he strikes mundane armor, is breaks, and not only does it not provide any protection, but the Lunar increases his base damage by the armor's lethal soak value.

Fury

Relentless Lunatic Fury
Cost: 2 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: (Essence x2) turns
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Stamina: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: None
Lunars are masters of the instinct, of the primal, animal nature in the human soul. Luna shines upon the mad, and in their lunacy, they call out to her, drenched in blood and madness! Be it dispassionately as a cold-blooded assassin or laughing and roaring like a madman, the Lunar draws upon Her maddening influence to destroy anything in his path! Activating Relentless Lunatic Fury, the Lunar adds one success to all combat actions, from attacking, defending, rolling to mantain your balance in a fight or to resist knockdown, and all others, ignore wound penalties until they are worse than -1 and increases the maximum of dice she can add with dice-adding Charms to combat tasks by her Essence.

As long as this Charm is active, the Lunar cannot perform non-combat actions, intent on hunting and killing everything around him. The Lunar may only perform non-combat actions or stop his offensive for one action by spending 1 willpower for every such action, and even then, those actions are made at a -2 penalty. The Lunar may try to end this Charm earlier by calming down his rage and cooling his blood, but that requires the Lunar to pass an Willpower roll with a difficulty equal to his Valor, which can only be made every (6-the Lunar’s Essence, minimum 1) turns. Many Charms are Rages and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury, as noted in the Charm's descriptions. Those do not count as Charm uses, and simply increase the cost of the Fury, but Lunars may not activate more Charms with the Fury than their Permanent Essence.

Red Wolf's Rage
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Stamina: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Relentless Lunatic Fury
With this Charm, the Lunar becomes beyond pain. He inverts pain into herself, turning the burning pain into the flames of a battle fever. A rage that impels him foward, the more hurt he is, to destroy everything in front of him. For the remainder of the scene, the Lunar converts into autossuccesses a number of dice equal to his wound penalty for all violent combat actions – this does not count against the limit of dice he may convert with Charms. However, he loses four dice from all social and mental rolls while the Red Wolf's Rage is active. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, giving its benefits for the Duration.
