Hunting

Tracking

Blood on the Wind
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Perception
By means of this Charm, a Lunar can track creatures through any terrain. To the Lunar, trail is as clear on solid stone as it is in woodlands or on soft ground. The Lunar is consdered a supernatural tracker, automatically able to follow any mundane prey without a roll(he is considered to have one more success than any mundane prey in the tracking contest) and receiving his Essence in automatic successes in any of his roll to track beings that use Charms to conceal themselves from pursuit.

Furious Hound Pursuit
Cost: 5 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Perception: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Blood on the Wind
Once a Lunar chooses her prey, it cannot escape. The Lunar designates a single target, which he must have seen within the last hour. The Lunar’s Movement Rating, Running or Sprinting, becomes one yard greater than her quarry if that is greater than the Lunar’s normal movement, and adds a number of successes equal to his Essence in any athletics roll to overcome obstacles between him and his quarry. In long-distance movement, the Lunar moves always one mile more than the quarry per day. If the quarry uses any charms to enhance her movement, the Lunar receives their benefit as well. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, allowing the Lunar to receive its benefits for the Rage's duration, able to designate a new target for the Pursuit every turn.

Night is Day
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
Sometimes, a Lunar has to hunt at night, or to follow prey through deep forests and burrows deep within the earth! To do so, the Lunar can alter his eyes, receiving flashing, cat-like irises that allow him to see perfectly in low-light conditions. He treats nightime as daylight, but becomes partially colorblind in normally lit conditions(+1 difficulty to Perception rolls and ranged attacks) for the duration of the Charm. Night is Day does not allow the Lunar to see in absolute darkness - there must be some light, even if that fo the stars.

Perceiving the Hidden World
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Night is Day
Accomplished predators, Lunars are able to hunt even the beasts that roam in the depths of the earth, where there is no light! The Lunar becomes able to 'feel' light incomprehensible to humans such as spectral glows of heat and cold. This allows the Lunar to see in perfect darkness, although his ability to distinguish detail is greatly impaired(+2 difficulty to all Perception rolls involving discerning fine detail)

Killing

Wind-Wings Carry Technique
Cost: 2 motes per increase
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Strength: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Strength
Some prey may move too fast, always a step away from the hunter, but the reach of a Lunar's attack is deceptive! Honing his senses to supernatural levels, the Exalt becomes able to see the flows of essence in the air, and to push his strikes through them, greatly increasing its range! Close Combat attacks have their range increased by a factor equal to the Lunar's Essence for every 2 motes spent, whereas Ranged Attacks have their range doubled for every 2 motes spent.

Eagle Eye Advantage
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: None
The Lunar hones his senses, and his strike becomes simply one of striking the opponent in the right place. Careful observers(A Perception+Awareness roll at difficulty 3) can notice the change on the Lunar's eyes, that take an avian aspect, but she is otherwise unchanged. For one attack, the Lunar mays subtitute the action's designated attribute with Perception. This Charm adds +1 to the Lunar's accuracy, and being an accuracy bonus, does not count towards dice-adding limits. This Charm is a Gift and may be activated in when the Lunar shifts into a Hybrid Form. The Lunar commits 1 mote to have access to the accuracy bonus and to substitute his Dexterity with his Perception for attacks and defenses for the duration.

Nature's Harmony Advantage
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Perception
Listening to her instincts, the Lunar can ignore enviromental penalties, on the path of her attack. Wind, Water and Wood do not hinder her strikes. Rain and Smoke cannot stay between the Hunter and the Prey. The strike is always true, allowing the Exalt to ignore all enviromental penalties, including those by poor visibility on her attack. This has no effect on cover penalties. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, giving its effects to all attacks the furious Lunar makes.

Harmony with the World Instinct
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Nature's Harmony Advantage, Eagle Eye Advantage
The Lunar attunes her senses to the world around her, his eyes becoming as a hawk's, knowing the path of every projectile, knowing how to strike and where. For the remainder of the scene the Lunar may not be surprised by foes unless they are immaterial – not even invisibility and shapeshifting will fail to make the Lunar notice something. The Lunar also adds a number of dice equal to her half her Perception(rounded up) to all physical actions.

Knowing the Wind’s Path
Cost: 1 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Perception
Cover is many a prey's best defense against many attacks, but the preternaturally enhanced senses and reflexes of a Lunar can degrade its effectiveness! From the Moon-Blessed hunters, there is no escape, there is nothing that can stand in their way! Using this Charm, the Lunar ignores any and all cover penalties when striking at his prey.

Riding the Secret Wind
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Perception: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Nature's Harmony Advantage, Knowing the Wind's Path
By attuning her senses to the flows of Essence and the senses of beasts on an area, the Lunar may target any opponent on the reach of his weapon... even if no clear line of sight exists between her and the target, even if they are separated by walls or doors or anything else! The usual range penalties apply, but the target receives no cover penalties, and will be taken by surprise unless it makes a Wits+Awareness roll with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Essence. If it suceeds, it may parry as usual, if it fails, only defenses that specifically state they can defend attacks the victim is not aware of may defend against it.

Eyes of the Hunter
Cost: 1 mote per soak reduction
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Perception
Every creature has weak spots, and the hunter knows just where to find them. Be it weak spots on a mortal armor or that of a Chosen, soft spots on a human body or in the scales of a Tyrant Lizard, there is always a weak spot. All the hunter has to do is strike there, and his enemy will fall more easily. Using this Charm, the Lunar reduces his enemy's soak, whatever its origin, by 1B/1L per mote spent. The Lunar may not use more motes to power this Charm than he has dots of Perception.

Deadly Wasp Strike
Cost: 1 mote
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Eyes of the Hunter
Tapping into the predatory senses of insects and other creatures that know how to kill with swift stings, the Lunar's strike is so swift and precise that it strikes at vital points of a target. Attacks enhanced by this Charm are extremely deadly, much more than their wounds would suggest. The Lunar receives Heroic Damage on the attack enhanced by this Charm, counting all 10s rolled as two successes instead of one.

Artery-Severing Atemi
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Perception: 2
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Eyes of the Hunter
A hunter does not fight. He falls upon his prey, and with a single bite on the neck, it is over. he hunter knows where to strike, where to sink his teeth to quickly dispatch his victim, and the Full Moon, the mightiest predators ever to walk on Creation, understand this to a preternatural level. For 3 motes, the Lunar can ignore an ammount of his opponent's soak equal to his Perception, whatever its origin. Enemies dealt at least 1 Lethal Health Level by this Charm also bleed, even if Exalted, losing 1 health level every turn until they receive medical attention(a dice action wits+medicine roll that has at least one success). Charms that heal Lethal Damage instantly staunch this bleeding.

Cutting the Prey's Fangs
Cost: 4 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Dexterity
The Lunar turns part of her body into tentacles, all of them going straight to disarm an opponent, or moves fast enough that he appears to act as such, a myriad of misdirecting images trying to snatch his weapons away... The Lunar rolls an attack as usual, but does no damage, and the defender's successes are halved. If the Lunar hits his opponent with more successes than the opponent's Wits, he is instantly disarmed.

Deadly Claw Blow
Cost: 2 motes +1 mote per success
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Dexterity: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Dexterity
This Charm allows the Lunar to harness his bestial prowess and become a veritable killing machine. He becomes instintively aware of an opponent's weak spots and how to exploit them, allowing him to target his attacks to maximum effect. Using this Charm, the Lunar deals lethal damage barehanded and converts dice into automatic successes for an attack, up to her Attribute as usual. The Lunar may destroy even souls with such a deadly intent to his movements, allowing the attacks enhanced by this Charm to harm immaterial spirits.

Blinding Claw Strike
Cost: 3 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Deadly Claw Blow
To avoid an attack, the victim must see it coming. With this Charm, the Lunar moves faster than the eye can see, little more than stripes of sharp moonlight and shadow in the air as he comes upon the enemy from unexpected directions and with such a speed that it is very hard to make out his blows, much less to know where to move to avoid them. The Lunar pays 3 motes and strikes as normal, but the opponent's Dodge successes are halved(rounded down).

Lighting Stroke Attack
Cost: 7 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Blinding Claw Strike
Some strikes are so swift and powerful that the target does not even see it coming, and has no chance to avoid it. Unlookers are not even sure if the attack happenned at all, as their eyes miss it completely. The attacks enhanced by this charm are rolled normally, but they cannot be Parried nor Dodged. This Charm is a Rage and may be activated in tandem with Relentless Lunatic Fury for the cost of 2 motes, increasing the difficulty to parry and dodge all attacks by the frenzied Lunar by 2.

Pursuit

Foot-Trapping Counter
Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Primal Dexterity
With the understanding of how to move perfectly, comes a very precious knowledge to the hunter - the knowledge of how to stop the movement of others, trapping his prey with his body and essence and not allowing her to go any further than the hunter allows. When an opponent tries to move away, the Lunar activates this Charm and the opponents has to suceed in a reflexive Dexterity+Athletics roll with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Dexterity. If the opponent succeeds, she can move, if she fails, she must remain. This can stop hopping defenses, and even esoteric movements such as Avoidance Kata - after all, Lunars were created to hunt Gods as easily as Men.

Primordial Hunter Speed
Cost: 5+ motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Dexterity
When pressed, a Lunar may cover a great ground without difficulty! Every 5 motes spent grant the Lunar a Stance that doubles the his movement rate and leaping distances for the remainder of the scene(5 motes doubles the movement, 10 motes triples the movement, etc). The Lunar may not have more Stance active than half his Essence, rounded up. If used in conjunction with the Full Moon anima power or other such effects, the multipliers are stacked, so a Full Moon with a sngle would Stance from Primordial Hunter Speed would move and leap at three times their normal rates.

Flight of the Sparrow
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: None
Sometimes, even the Lunars, the greatest of all hunters, find themselves overwhelmed and need to retreat! This Charm can be activated with a reflexive action and the commitment of 1 point of Temporary Willpower, and doubles a Lunar’s Movement Rate as long as he is trying to escape pursuit or otherwise flee a scene, event or area. Flight of the Sparrow Ends ends when the Lunar is no longer fleeing, and the Willpower remains committed until then.

Pack and Flock Guidance
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Dexterity: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Primordial Hunter Speed, Flight of the Sparrow
This Charm permanently enhances long movement-enhancing charms such as Primordial Hunter Speed and Flight of the Sparrow, allowing the Lunar to convey the Charm’s benefit to an entire unit he leads. This adds 1 willpower to its cost and allows the Lunar to affect (Essence x50) allies at once. It is left to the Storyteller’s discretion which other Charms are enhanced by Pack and Flock Guindance, but they must be similar in natureto Primordial Hunter Speed and Flight of the Sparrow, encompassing such Charms as Furious Hound Pursuit.

Unfurling Moonsilver Hawk
Cost: 20 motes, 1 willpower, 1 Health Levels
Duration: One Day
Type: Simple
Minimum Dexterity: 6
Minimum Essence: 6
Prerequisite Charms: Primordial Hunter Speed
The Lunar unfurls two great wings of Moonsilver from his back, distilling his Essence upon them. So full they are of the Essence of Change that they shift the currents of the air about them, creating whirlpools, burning and chilling the air all at once. So powerful they are, that they throw the Lunar high as a mountain with a single flap. So mighty, that they may allow the Lunar to traverse Creation in the blink of an eye. The wings are so powerful that they allow the Lunar to move at a speed of 700 miles per hour. The Lunar may carry as much as he usually can, but such objects are not protected from the rigors of traveling at such speed. The Wings are so great, and the disturbances around them so profound that they add half his Essence(rounded down) in difficulty to hit the Lunar, and may be used as Natural Weapons with speed +10, Accuracy +2, Damage +12L, Defense +3 and Rate 2.
