Glossary

A glossary of mechanical terms used within the Silver Masks. For a more complete description, one should look at the charms in question or the mechanics page.

  • Charge
    The Lunars sworn protectee. The Lunar's Charge is determined by the charm Eternal Eclipse Guardian.
  • Fury
    A gift of terrible rage and fury. The Lunar's combat prowess is increased in his anger, as described by Relentless Lunatic Fury.
    • Rages
      Many charms have a Rage effect. When slipping into the Lunatic's Fury, a lunar may also activate a number of her Rages up to her Essence by paying the indicated costs. These don't count as charm activations. The effects persist for the duration of the Fury.
  • Hybrid Form
    A melding of the feral features and human forms of terrible prowess. The Ascension and Beastman are examples of Hybrid Forms.
    • Gifts
      Many charms have a Gift effect. When assuming a Hybrid Form, a lunar may also activate a number of her Gifts up to her Essence by paying the indicated costs. These don't count as charm activations.
  • Focus
    Many charms are Focus and allow the Lunar to become single-minded (in a berserker state, in battle) and receive great benefits until their given task is completed. Those are incompatible with each other but always allow the Lunar one automatic success in all required tasks and increase the dice-adding limits by the Lunar's Essence - although it gives penalties to do any action that falls outside of the focus' instinctual purview.
  • Kin
    Those whose Essence is mingled with the Lunar's. That require the mingle their Essence with the Lunar - that mingle may require one to be a Sibling from Brotherhood of Lake and RIver a Charge from Eternal Eclipse Guardian or the Lunar's own Familiar. Other effects may make another Kin to the Lunar at the Storyteller's discretion.
