Inside every Lunar, there is a spark of untamed, mad wyld. But it is kept in check. The silver essence within the Lunar tames it, wrestles it down, controls it as surely as Luna controls the tides of Creation. It is Luna that commands the Wyld, and that command is passed to her Exalted. And it is never so clear and pure as in the Thorn of the Silver Empress, a charm that pulls this mandate and power from within the Lunar's soul, and manifests it in the world as a direct weapon. As a merciful, fickle empress, it deals Bashing or Lethal damage, on the Lunar's choice on every strike, and is built with a number of points equal to twice the Lunar's Charisma, apart from rate, that is equal to the Lunar's Essence(points in Speed or Damage give +2). It brings inescapable order to all creature of Chaos it touches, dealing aggravated damage against any wyld-born or wyld-tainted being, and all those receive a penalty to all actions equal to the Lunar's Essence while in her presence - they behave in the court of the Empress.

With dedication, a Lunar can pull wonders from the dreamland of the Wyld. This Charm uses the connection between the Wyld and Creation inherent to every Lunar to make the target, one creature or object of any size, natural to and safe within Creation. To work this Charm the Lunar must alter the object in some way, such as drawing a symbol upon it. Living creatures must wear something the Lunar has made himself. This symbol requires a Dexterity+Occult roll to be properly created. Portable objects brought into Creation do not evaporate, and creatures too mutated to survive in Creation usually find it comfortable. The object needs the reality around it to be mantained, however.

The Lunar may target objects too large to be moved with this Charm, paying double its cost. This allows the Lunar to stabilize buildings in the chaos to use as bases of operation, or to push back the Wyld one patch of land at a time. If the target of this Charm does not interact meaningfully with things natural for a story, roll the Lunar's Essence at a difficulty of 1, 2 if the target does not interact with real things at ''all.'' Creatures suffer a level of aggravated damage that can only be healed in the Wyld if this roll fails. After six cumulative failtures, Creation becomes inospitable to the target again, and objects fall apart if not taken back to the Wyld fast.

Lunars must be able to protect their lands from the dangers of the Wyld. The Lunar must encircle an area she wishes to protect, encircling it with her scent and presence. This Charm affects a maximum area of one Waypoint, which is about 30 miles accross, and fails if anyone stops the Lunar before its completion. Once the character has invoked the Charm, the Wyld enegies in the region become quiescent. While the local abnormal physical(and metaphysical) laws remain the same, they do not change as long as this Charm is effective. While this Charm is active, no being may shape the region unless they are greater than the Lunar. To affect a territory owned by another being, the Lunar must roll his Intelligence+Occult with a difficulty equal to the being's Essence rating. If the laws in this place are like those of Creation and it is connected to it by its borders, it will become a natural part of it after remaining stabilized by this Charm for(One year minus the Lunar's Essence in months) months. It becomes a true part of Creation then, but can still be reclaimed by the Wyld in its usual fashion.

Sinking the Thorn of the Silver Empress into the ground, the Lunar brings the full power of the Silver Lady to bear, letting her whim and order flow and change the shape of the landscape, to make the order of her Lover. Everything becomes more real, more right, with the chaos banished to far, far away. For the remainder of the scene the Lunar loses the use of the Thorn, but an area equal to (The Lunar's Essence x30) yards becomes an area of stable Creation. This include areas of the Deepest Wyld, no matter how far away from Creation. All objects within it can be removed and brought back into Creation safely, as if they had all been treated with Harmony With Reality Technique. However, if they are not taken back to Creation, they are lost when the Scene has passed and the Chaos swarms back into the protected area. This proccess is lethal for Wyld beings, who suffer unsoakable levels of aggravated damage if caught in those boundaries equal to the Lunar's Essence. Beings of the Underworld or Malfeas, not of Chaos, but simply of a different order, receive a penalty to all their actions equal to the Lunar's Essence while in those boundaries. Ritual of Lunar Stability can be used within it with an instant activation and no ritual, easily mantaining its Creation-ordered existence.

Geomancy

Curious Cat Eyes
Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Primal Intelligence
With their great insight on how the world works, Lunars can understand little signs in an area that say much. The Lunar rolls Perception+Occult to notice Manses or Demesnes up to a number of miles equal to the successes in the roll (with a +1 difficulty for Manses.) The Lunar also learns if the Sanctum of a major deity exists anywhere within the area of effect. Great disturbances in Essence - such as Wyld Storms, Celestial and Solar Circle Sorcery Spells and the discharge of powerful Artifact weapons - within this area of effect are also perceived by the Lunar if they happenned as far back as (the Lunar's Intelligence) in days.

Changing the Dragon's Scales
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Variable
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Curious Cat Eyes
Lunars can apply their knowledge of Essence to change it, as is their mandate, changing the very nature of this world. Using this Charm, the Lunar rolls Intelligence+Occult with a difficulty equal to a Demesne or Manse's level. On a success, it cuts the time nessessary to shift the Aspects of a Demesne from Years to Weeks, as long as the motes for the Charm remains committed and the usual rituals are performed. By committing the willpower, the Lunar can shift its Aspect from Terrestrial to Celestial, and vice versa, taking only as long as it would take for it to shift between different aspects of its same type.

Pulse of the Invisible
Cost: 8 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Curious Cat Eyes
Using this Charm, a Lunar can understand the world around him to such a degree that he can adapt his senses to detect the flows and patterns of Essence in the world around him, as well as any dematerialized spirits present with clear shifts of his eyes and other sensorial organs into shining crystalline lattices. The Exalt can instinctively sense the direction and strength of flows, as well as the locations of power of loci such as Manses and Demesnes up to his Intelligence in miles. Ascertaining more detailed information requires a Perception+Occult roll. A single success grants the Lunar basic information about the examined essence, such as identifying the nature of a sorcery or the general geomancy of a region, while additional successes provide more in-depth and specific information. This Charm is a Gift and may be activated in when the Lunar shifts into a Hybrid Form. The Lunar may commit 4 motes to make the effects of this Charm last for as long as he remains in Hybrid Form.

Terrestrial Circle Sorcery
Cost: 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: None
As Celestial Exalted, Lunars can easily learn the simplest forms of altering Creation's Essence to their whims, reaching the Terrestrial Circle. Note that invoking this Charm only enables the character to cast a single Terrestrial Circle spell. The actual spell itself has an Essence cost, often very high, that the character must pay to actualize the spell. This cost is listed on the spell's description. Terrestrial Circle Sorcery may never be part of a Combo.

Primordial Fire Harmony
Cost: 8 motes per spell, 1 health level
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Terrestrial Circle Sorcery, Moon-Chasing Chrysanthemum Pattern
The No Moon are the greatest adepts of sorcery for combat purposes on Creation, and with the tatoos, devised ways to enhance their sorcerous might even further! With knowledge of the flows of essence and the shape of the world, the Lunar chooses a particular pattern of essence he knows, and engraves a tatoo in his flesh that resonates with it, shifting their internal geomancy to something that fills the gaps as he weaves, making the weaving of the pattern faster, more sure. The Lunar may commit 10 motes of Essence and name a spell – as long as the motes are committed, the spell has its weaving time cut in one turn and reducing the cost of the Spell by the Lunar's Permanent Essence in motes. Terrestrial Sorcery is woven instantly, and Celestial Sorcery takes one turn to weave. The Lunar may not choose more spells than his Permanent Essence for this.

Celestial Circle Sorcery
Cost: 2 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Primordial Fire Harmony, Pulse of the Invisible
The pinnacle of Lunar Sorcery, even the No Moons reach it with hardship, and for all other castes, it is a odyssey in and of itself. The first spell is invariably cast during the New Moon, as the Lunar's anima reaches and becomes the Moonlight for miles. Note that invoking this Charm only enables the character to cast a single Celestial Circle spell. The actual spell itself has an Essence cost, often very high, that the character must pay to actualize the spell. This cost is listed on the spell's description. Celestial Circle Sorcery may never be part of a Combo.

Withdrawal of Assumptions
Cost: 3 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Pulse of the Invisible
Things from beyond creation are the enemy of all Luna's Chosen. Surrounding herself with a halo of silver light, the Lunar strikes out a Creature of Darkness and, with the knowledge of its Essence, breaks it apart! With a touch, the Lunar causes the Creature of Darkness to lose (the Lunar's Essence x3) motes in a brilliant display of Essence. If the target also fails a Willpower roll with a difficulty equal to the Lunar's Essence, the target also reduces its Permanent Essence by one dot for all purposes. Creatures reduced to 0 Permanent Essence by this Charm are destroyed permanently. Reduced Permanent Essence returns at the rate of one dot per day; Essence Pools refill normally.

Divine Fire Shattering
Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Pulse of the Invisible
The Lunar is able to shift more than his flesh – but also the flows of essence are little more than woven, shaped in a specific form. With this Charm, the Lunar is able to interfere in another’s sorcerous shaping, turning the construct of essence in a beast ready to devour the opponent. The Lunar may activate this Charm when he touches a spell being cast – he has to be able to touch it, physically. Then he then makes an opposed roll of his Intelligence+Occult against the caster’s. If the Lunar wins, the opponent is considered to have botched his roll to hold the spell together, and has to deal with all of the horrible consequences of it. The Lunar has shifted his body to the chaos of the essence around him, and flows with it - not only is the Lunar immune to the consquences, but he can move away a number of yards equal to the Spell's mote cost. This Charm is only effective against spells of a Circle that the invoking Lunar has the ability to cast, and it fails against spellcasters with a higher permanent Essence rating than the Lunar.

Breaking the Shape of Divinity
Cost: 5 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Divine Fire Shattering
The No Moon Caste possesses the ability to shape essence as if it was their own bodies. Against them, no construct of raw essence is a perfect weapon. The Lunar's caste mark burns the color of the essence construct he faces as the Lunar shifts the harmony of his essence to it. With a touch(after a successful Brawl or Martial Arts attack or parry by the Lunar - this cannot trigger on a successful parry by the defendant, as the Lunar is directed, and does not have a hold in it), the Lunar can then change the construct one of the following ways:

  • Snuff it out entirely. Sentient Essence Constructs may pay 1 willpower and 1 health level to negate it.
  • Shift and redirect it - in the case of an essence weapon, the Lunar may make an attack with it, against its owner or any target within its range. In the case of an essence armor, the Lunar may attack its wearer with an Intelligence+Occult roll, with the armor's soak value as its damage rating, in an attack that can only be defended with Resistance charms and natural soak. The owner of the Essence Construct may pay 1 willpower to cancel the charm before such use, however.
  • Absorb it, gaining a number of motes equal to the cost to activate the charm. Many Lunars do so by placing their jaws on the construct and literally eating it. The owner cannot cancel his construct the same manner as above. Sentient Essence Constructs may still pay 1 willpower and 1 health level to negate it.

Field of Primordial Madness
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower, 1 health level
Duration: Intelligence in Turns
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Breaking the Shape of Divinity
The Lunar changes his essence... harmonizing it with the world. He opens the gates to pure change and madness within him, and the world around him echoes it in turn. Around him, essence changes and shifts. The world begins to change in the essence of nightmares and dreams and moonlight. Shadows become windows to the Lunar's soul, and within their own essences, all can feel the shadow of the Lunar's. The Lunar's chaotic essence fills an area of (Essence x10) yards. The chaos of this area hinders those within in a variety of ways...

  • Within, all creatures that oppose the Lunar suffer an enviromental penalty equal to his Essence in dice to all their physical actions.
  • Within, The Lunar may also take Shaping Actions within the Field, as if he had Graces equal to his corresponding Virtues.
  • Within, the very nature of Essence works differently, unable to hold a proper shape. Charms that would last for a scene last only One Turn, and that goes for all scene-length charms currently working in the Charm's area, which only works for one more turn after the Field of Primordial Madness is used before needing to be renewed. This includes Sutras. Charms with the Duration of One Day or greater have their Duration measured in a number of turns equal to their owner's essence, in turns. Charms of Instant Duration work as normal, their essence not lasting long enough to be twisted. The Lunar's own Charms have their durations affected by Field of Primordial Madness, with the exception of the Field itself, of course.

During the Primordial War, this Charm had a different, longer path to its enlightement, and saw much use in countering the World-Shaping of the Primordials.

Holding the Dragon's Pearl
Cost: 2 motes per stone, 1 willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Curious Cat Eyes
Shifting his flows of Essence, the Lunar turns his body into a living artifact, able to hold a Hearthstone as one. The hearthstone becomes 'socketed' in his flesh, in any of the focuses of essence in a body - such as the forehead, the back of the hands, the navel, the back of the neck, and others. The Lunar must commit 2 motes per stone thus held, and may not hold more Hearthstones than he has dots of Permanent Essence.

Radiant Dragon Eyes
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Holding the Dragon's Pearl
The Lunar sculpts the essence of his soul, becoming a Demesne, his form capping it as a Manse, essence flows exploding about his form. He closes his eyes, and when they open, they are crystalline, the color of a Hearthstone. Windows for his soul, showing the channelled Essence within. For the scene he activates this Charm, the Lunar is permanently at the 4-7 anima banner display, and the nimbus of Essence around the Lunar deals his Essence in aggravated damage to all who clinch the Lunar or are struck by him, which is soaked separately. But the true reason for all the display is not that. In his eyes, there is the Hearthstone formed by this Manse, one of a level equal to the Lunar's Essence at most, and as low as 1. This Hearthstone is chosen when this Charm is purchased, one that fits the Lunar's demeanor and objectives, and is hencefort set(but may change in the eventuality that the Lunar himself changes). It is considered to be socketed in a Moonsilver artifact on the Lunar's body, giving the usual benefits. Hearthstones of Elemental or Abyssal Aspects attune the Lunar to it, preventing any sucharge that may come from using aligned Martial Arts, Sorcery or Necromancy. This Charm is a Gift and may be activated in tandem with a Hybrid Form for the cost of 6 motes, giving the Lunar the benefit of a total number of Hearthstone Dots equal to his Essence as long as he stays in the Hybrid Form.

One With the World
Cost: 20 motes, 1 willpower, 1 health level
Duration: Until Abandoned
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 7
Minimum Essence: 7
Prerequisite Charms: Field of Primordial Madness, Radiant Dragon Eyes
Sinking his feet into the ground, the Lunar expands his Anima to the iconic level, and lets it soak in the world around him. An area of the Lunar's Essence x100 is filled with the glow of the Lunar's anima, images important to the Lunar appearing in all shadows and reflective surfaces. The whole area becomes the Lunar - much like a Primordial, the Lunar becomes greater than a single being. He becomes part of the world. It is all his body, and his soul. As long as this Charm lasts, the Lunar may not leave the area, but within it, the Lunar...

  • ... can sink into the ground as a Simple Action, moving like blood, multiplying his movement rating by his permanent essence.
  • ... may take Shaping Actions within the area as if he had Graces equal to his Virtues...
  • ... converting a number of dice equal to Manipulation in automatic successes to those Shaping Rolls.
  • ... gains twice his Essence in -0 Health Levels.
  • ... doubles all stunt-dice earned within, as well as all rewards for stunts.
  • ... and finally, receives a connection to the land. The Lunar can see throughout this whole area, as if he was standing there, able to roll Perception+Awareness as a dice action to feel any part of the area with any of his senses(one per success). He knows the land lives or dies on his existence, and thus, may always channel Compassion and Conviction while this Charm is in effect, and their bonuses are converted to automatic successes instead of dice, always.

When the Lunar is hurt, the area responds accordingly, and a Lunar destroyed while connected to the area leaves only barren ruins.

Thorn of the Silver Empress
Cost: 6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Charisma, Primal Charisma
Inside every Lunar, there is a spark of untamed, mad wyld. But it is kept in check. The silver essence within the Lunar tames it, wrestles it down, controls it as surely as Luna controls the tides of Creation. It is Luna that commands the Wyld, and that command is passed to her Exalted. Harmony with Reality Technique
Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Minimum Intelligence: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Tatoo-Cutting Wisdom

If the target of this Charm does not interact meaningfully with things natural for a story, roll the Lunar's Essence at a difficulty of 1, 2 if the target does not interact with real things at all. Creatures suffer a level of aggravated damage that can only be healed in the Wyld if this roll fails. After six cumulative failtures, Creation becomes inospitable to the target again, and objects fall apart if not taken back to the Wyld fast.
