- is male, and not particularly old
- has "orchid-violet" eyes, and straight, spiky black hair that's tipped with copper.
- has a four-winged bird tattoo on his left arm.
- was found somewhere in the South, unconscious under a tree.
- is likely a storyteller or some such by trade.
- is a Solar, probably Zenith Caste.
- his unconsciousness led to partial amnesia; he is not very forthcoming on what he knows and what he does not.
- his real name is not Taban.
- used Motive-Discerning Technique and Ten Magistrate Eyes
- knows how to use a staff
- is actively being pursued by the Wyld Hunt, who have caught him at least once before, and done great harm to people he cares about.
- was adopted by Khadka and Tuluy
- was once under the control of Lyeshe's slave collar
- was called 'Uyaash' ("tool" in Old Realm) by Lyeshe
- knows some melee charms, but nothing overpowering
