This page lists suggested prices based on the conversion and starting resource suggestions in /Microeconomy.

Prices work like so:\\ In general, there are 4 tiers of prices which roughly fall between the Resource ranks. A character at a given rank can afford the tier below with regularity, while the tier above is an occasional treat or considered to be enough of a dire necessity that it exhausts his ability to make other purchases.

Food per week

  1. 1-2 utils (1-2sp)
  2. 4-5 utils (4-5sp)
  3. 10-20 utils (1-2gp)
  4. 40-50 utils (4-5gp)

A Resources 1 character would have to spend almost all of his money to afford subpar daily nutrition. Accumulating capital is difficult. A Resource 2 character could eat decently on a regular basis, or eat less than decently and save up some coin. A Resource 3 character could eat decently with no difficulty, or eat a hearty meal every so often and indulge himself. A Resource 4 character could eat well daily and even occasionally serve supersize Thanksgiving-type portions. A Resource 5 character could easily eat himself to obesity, throwing a grand banquet every few weeks to show off his largesse.

The specificity of each category is up for grabs - for instance, I chose to make "draft animals", "riding animals", and "war animals" three seperate categories, although they could easily be mixed into two or one. This is a personal choice. Some purchases are only made by the wealthy (like war horses), and so adjust the tiers accordingly.

To avert the condescension, I'll reiterate: these are suggestions based on what I use in my games. For my purposes they work.

Riding Animals

  1. 250 utils (1jp)
  2. 500 utils (2jp)
  3. 1000-1250 utils (4-5jp)
  4. 1750-2500 utils (7-10jp)

Draft Animals

  1. 100 utils (10gp)
  2. 200 utils (20gp)
  3. 400 utils (40gp)
  4. 750 utils (3jp)

War Animals

  1. 500 utils (2jp)
  2. 750 utils (3jp)
  3. 1250-1500 utils (5-6jp)
  4. 2000-2250 utils (8-9jp)

Real Estate (country) (purchase, not rent)

  1. 200 utils (20gp)
  2. 500-750 utils (2-3jp)
  3. 1500-2500 utils (6-10jp)
  4. 3000+ utils (12+jp)
