I just tend to prefer the original versions of these charms, although there's nothing wrong with the charms you've proposed as well, they're just different. - Morpheus

I think the original of the Charms are just fine in all honesty. If they were quick and esy, Lunars wouldn't have to have dice-adders for their other stuff abouts. Having these work better then the regular dice-adders invalidates a lot of Charms 'bout.

Or something. Stuff. Blaque

Interesting that you think of those two Charms as fine ... have you ever seen anyone use them? I know they are usable in specific situations, it is just that for the increased Lunar XP cost these Charms seem less than worthwhile.

These work the same as the regular dice adders by the way (converting one dice to a success has the same effect on the mean as adding an extra dice rolled) ... just for a longer period, and with a low ceiling on the addition.

Consider your average over-abilty-ed lunar, say Essence 2 and Dexterity 7 in DBT. Converting 3 dice to successes, the equivalent of a dice adder adding 2 dice, is definitely not overpowerd. Its an alternative or a supplement, not a replacement, to those other Charms you were referring to.

And they are Simple Charms, which means that this already adds a turn of preparation to Lunars who do not normally require preparation time! ^_^ -- BrokenShade
