The Blesbok has a short glossy coat of purplish or red with a white belly and insides of legs. The face has a white blaze down its entire length. Both male and female have 20 inch ridged, lyre shaped horns. They are found on the wide open grasslands of the Southeast and gather in herds of up to 70 animals.
