Dragon-Blooded Performance Charms by CrownedSun

Rose Amidst Weeds Method

Cost: 2 motes per difficulty modifier
 Duration: Until relaxed
 Type: Simple
 Minimum Performance: 3
 Minimum Essence: 2
 Prerequisite Charms: Memorable Performance Technique

The character with Rose Amidst the Weeds Method can rise above all things that might otherwise pull her down, performing so capably that all other things seem to melt away. The surroundings and environment around her, other players and companions, even the gap of culture -- all of these things can be bridged, and while they can still make an impression on those watching they hold no claim on their opinions of the Dragon-Blooded. A Dancer with this charm is not judged by her incompetent partner, nor a Musician by the seedy bar that he finds himself playing within. Every two motes spent on this charm reduces the difficulty penalty imposed by some outside source by 1, to a minimum of difficulty 1. This will not affect any penalty that is related to the character, such as his clothing or a sprained ankle. In addition, if this charm is used, the opinions of those watching on the Dragon-Blooded's performance will be based entirely on the Dragon-Blooded and no outside influences. This charm is commonly gained by Dragon-Blooded who must perform with common mortals for whatever reason, causing their own performances to be undiminished by the lesser skill of their companions.
