The Blasphemous

In the beginning, the Zenith Caste were created as the priests of the Unconquered Sun. Their majesty was overwhelming, and they brought the light of their patron to those around them, being hailed as great religious figures in turn. They ventured far and wide, shining as beacons of greatness, and were adored prophet-kings by the mortals around them. They travelled the boundaries of Creation, and were worshipped as god-emperors of the Unconquered Sun.

The fierce drive within each could not be stopped, and they seeked to be mightier still. Commanding worship and fealty onto themselves, they raised kingdoms of their own, denying their patron and projecting themselves to be true gods. With pride eating away at their souls they were slain, and it was the Solar Essences of this time, those that rendered themselves Blasphemous, that the Yozis captured.

In this time of empires, there are those possessed of the same majestic strength as those old monarchs, but all of their attendant failings. Mad tyrants, insidious demagogues, bandit-kings and other such false leaders are rejected by divinity but courted by the Demon Princes. Seduced by the power and aggrandisement they can offer, such mortals are easily ensared by the Yozis.

And so they are captured. The Malfeans look on with glee as their captives are humiliated infront of multitudes, having their bodies defiled and their spirits broken by a cavalcade of abuses and torments. When their slaves finally stand without a glimmer of self worth, they are presented with a simple compliment. Their ego coaxed back to life by the subtle stroke, the prisoners feel the heady rush of self-worth as an emotion setting their soul afire more than ever before.

The Yozis offer a chance to be the prophets of their own cause, an unquestioned rule in a domain that will last forever. And their captive accepts, the long-dormant Solar shard fusing with them and elevating them to become Infernal Exalted, the abomination formed of overswelled divine glory and the worst of mortal rulership. Now, they spread the marred doctrine of the Yozis and raise empires in their place across Creation.

Anima Banner: Blasphemous Infernals are marked by full disc of jarring green upon their foreheads. Their animas are fierce spheres of painful green light about them, edged with warbling shadows.

Anima Effects: The Blasphemous are empowered with the corrosive touch of the Yozis. With a tap of their finger, they can destroy an incapacitated god or elemental utterly, their essence unravelling and distorting beyond hope of recovery. They can also strike down gods, elementals and other creatures of heaven. As his action for the turn, the Blasphemous may channel 5 motes of Essence through his anima and indicate such a being within 10 yards. He then rolls his permanent Essence as dice of unsoakable aggravated damage against the target. Celestial Exalted are unaffected by this attack (their mortal aspect shields them from harm). As devoted foes of gods and elementals, the Blasphemous may channel 10 motes through his anima to cause it to flare to agonising strength. This recreates the anima effect of the Forsaken, but applies only to gods and elementals.

Caste Abilities: Members of the Blasphemous excel at surviving the rigours of their task, and perverting others to their cause. They have a natural affinity for the Abilities of Endurance, Performance, Presence, Resistance and Survival.

Associations: The season of summer, the colours of piss-yellow and toxic blue, the southern direction and the cult of The Black Boar That Twists The Skies

Sobriquets: Resplendant Madness, Children of Tyranny, Hellbringers, Verdigris Scales, Hearts of Malfeas, the Blasphemous

Concepts: Devoted infernalist, wandering madman, paranoid tyrant, king of beggars, decadent senator, school bully
