Chosen of Darkness

The peacekeepers and police of the Underworld, Blacks attempt to maintain the balance between the afterlife and reincarnation. They encourage ghosts to act well and finish their business, then move on. Those who have no intention of attempting to pass on into Lethe draw their ire, as do those who convert to the cult of the Void. They often work hand in hand with the Chosen of Madness, fighting against Nephwracks and those who seek the destruction of the Underworld. The dangers inherant in the Underworld itself, such as the deadly storms of the Dead Seas and the vicious beasts spawned by the Malfeans are their other targets. They defend the Underworld against itself.

Caste Markings

The eyes of a Chosen of Darkness are fully black with faint shades of blue and violet, their pupils are dark beyond understanding and seem to suck in all the light around them. The Sign of Darkness glows black on the forehead of the Chosen when Peripheral Essence is expended.

Anima Effect

By spending 10 motes the Chosen can make the Lesser Sign of Darkness, causing their anima to flow outward in a pool of dark shadows that ripple around the feet of anyone standing within their Essence x 10 yards. Should a ghost within the bounds of the anima be reduced to 0 Health Levels it instantly enters Lethe and the Cycle. All damage rolls by the character's in-range allies gain a 1 die damage bonus.
