Spirits of a Dying Court
Introduction
The area of Melevhil has always been a warm and friendly community. Growing up here sheltered you from many of the plagues that crept into society elsewhere. The lands haven't seen any real wars in hundreds of years, crops were vast and plentiful and the locals were civil to one another. Then, for the first time in your life, a tragedy occured. Now, your parents have been telling you these stories at night ever since you were born, yet you grew up and dismissed the stories. It was nothing more than a story to keep you in line, right?

It was a peaceful night in the descention of wood, all was clear and quiet. A lot of the children had snuck out and you were just trying your best to fit in. Slowly a grey mist began to roll across the land and a sudden chill ran up your spine. You felt yourself begin to cower inside as the bedtime stories came to life and flooded your mind. A demon walked in that fog, one who ate children who strayed outside at night. You froze to the spot as your mother's voice echoed in your ears. "The demon stand over 10 feet tall with long tendrils to catch the fleeing children and long talons that can slice through you. Glowing golden eyes that can see through all of the mist and paralyzes you if you stare into them. Beware the golden eyes that glow like the ominous moon they will steal your soul and leave you a husk for the demon to feed upon!" No one ever went into details of how the demon ate the children but you imagination had filled in those grotesque details time and time again when you were younger.

It is said that the fog parts around the demon since it is too foul to even touch, so if you ever were caught in the fog. Be sure to flee if you see the fog parting. This advise must had fled one girl's mind, as she disappeared that night into the fog. No one know for sure what happened to her but she was seen evenloped by the fog and only unholy cries escaped the fog that night. The entire area wept for their children. The children suddenly had lost their innocence during that night. The stories were true ... the demon still stalked the area looking for young ones.
