Artifact ••••

Once long ago there was a Lunar who gloried in battle. She used many weapons in his lifetime, but foremost amongst them was a plain and simple Moonsilver daiklaive which had been the very first real weapon in her hand, a the first weapon handed over to the Exalted when the People of Adamant first armed them. She just favoured the weapon, and was most familiar and comfortable with it at her side and in her hand. She used it in countless battles, untold numbers falling before it in the millenia she lived. During the Ursupation, she charged to the Realm not to save her mate but instead to engage a new and innumberable foe. She fought on a field west of the Imperial Mountain for 9 days and nights fighting against the army that was sent against her. In the end she fell, her blade she threw with all her strength and charms across the inner sea to bury itself land and await a new user in the east.

It was after that battle the weapon gained a new name. After so much blood coating it, so many deaths and sufferings caused by it the weapon was changed by events. It now slowly dripped blood. It would just well up from the blade. Even the little god of the weapon seemed more like a mosquito fat and bloated from its repast than the noble warrior form it once held. This weapon has been moved around throughout the many years, carried by one person or another, never really needing a reason to be used in battle. It may drip blood but those who pick it up only want to coat it in more.

Used by a outcaste Dragonblooded or various enlightened mortals the weapon is well known in the Thousand kingdoms having taken part in a hundred battles in that tumultuous region. The Lunars have for the most part ignored the weapon. They call it cursed and no longer a weapon for true Chosen of Luna. Some who have performed vision quests though believe that if a way could be found to purify it the weapon would become stronger and greater still as the bloated and potent essence of its least god transformed into real enlightenment and inner strength.

While once it was just a simple weapon the daiklaive has been enhanced over the years by its owner. New potent enchantments woven into it as well as the spiritual changes that took change in it from so long attuned to the warrior Lunar's potent essence. Its greatest advantage is that in addition to any damage it rolls the weapon always inflicts a bonus 1 level of damage. Second of all the weapon has one higher Accuracy and one lower Defense than normal for its type. Finally the user is considered to have perfect Valor for resisting fear attempts but the change in the blade also means that they count as having at least Valor 3 for purposes of resisting challenges to combat or to seek redress for violence.
