Birasza Haisz, the Mask in the Mirror

Savants have speculated for thousands upon thousands of years on the relationship of Birasza Haisz to the City of Mirrors. At the inconceivable beginning of everything, is it possible that Birasza Haisz and Kagami formed together -- and later came apart? Regardless of their true bond, one thing is sure: Kagami is the answering truth of the mirror -- Birasza Haisz is that which is withheld and concealed. None may know the form of Birasza Haisz save those who look within Kagami: there, if they are (perhaps) fortunate, they will see a featureless mask, and it is rumoured that this marks the crossing from Kagami to Birasza Haisz itself. There do exist those who even claim to have walked within Birasza Haisz's halls, but it is impossible to prove that such labyrinthine passages were of certainty a part of Birasza Haisz and not Kagami itself. Confusion would be easy; for strangely, with the twisting of Kagami and Birasza Haisz that has come from their imprisonment, they seem to have grown similar once again. Kagami now bends itself to show lies, and Birasza Haisz twists to demonstrate truth, the two of them seeming almost to meet halfway; and as the walls of Kagami have dimmed from their original perfect reflection, it is possible that the originally-opaque, lost walls of Birasza Haisz might have lightened to become more reflective. Antique scriptures imply that perhaps the two may once again rejoin -- if indeed that was their original state -- and that such an event could be cataclysmic in its importance. ~ Shataina

I like, I like a lot. -BogMod

Thank you.  :) After I saw Quendalon's Kagami, I was like ARGH HE STOLE MY IDEA! and then I started thinking, you know, what if there are two of them -- or twin Yozis -- or something like that .... I have to say that I wonder what the official word would be on the feasibility of this one. It also intrigues me to consider what kind of changes in their concepts their very relationship might embody. I actually considered implying that the relationship between Kagami and Birasza Haisz was its own Yozi, but that might be a bit much. Anyway, er, yeah, thanks.

the Mask in the Mirror: I thought the same name (or something similar) for a third circle demon whose souls have to do with states of human mind. Well, seems like I will have to change the name a little - Nihilio

Heh. Do you read a lot of Borges too?

Nope, but I should. It just dawned to me one day and I liked the name. It is Mask Reflected On The Black Mirror after all. And I added it here, along with some of its descendants. More shall come in time. - Nihilio
