The major events of Reconstruction:

The Building of Yu-Shuan

The Incarna sought to find a place they could make into a worthy home for themselves and the seat of their rule. After some searching, they found the massive sapce in Elsewhere which housed the Games of Divinity. In this place they built the Jade Pleasure Dome and the city of Yu-Shuan. They invited other powerful gods to join them and through a combination of bribery, coercion, and diplomacy organized the Celestial Hierarchy. They charged this new government with maintaining the existence of Creation. When their children came to join them, the Incarna shook their heads and told them that they must reside in Creation itself, for who else could rule it but them? In truth they didn't want to expose the Exalts to the Games, fearing that they may get taste for them and repeat the cycle of usurpation. The exception to this was Charon. He chose to reside in the Underworld with his chosen and manage his affairs directly.

The Foundation of Coalition and the Five Dominions

Once the Incarna situated themselves in Heaven and began playing the Games, they were loathe to leave and assist their chosen in rebuilding Creation and driving off the Fae. The Exalted were still young and naive, almost all of their experience had been earned on the battlefield, and they were unsure what course to take. Their patrons were quick to offer reassurances, but not to offer aid. The Exalted toiled and bungled their way through the unfamiliar channels of the Celestial Bureaucracy, for this was a time before they had earned the respect and fear of the gods. The Eidolon watched as their kin struggled and turned to their progenitor in hopes that he could convince the other Incarna to help. Charon approached them and pleaded his case, but the others, save the Dragons, made excuses. Sol snorted and said this was no task his children could not handle. Luna claimed that they would never learn if their hands were held every step of the way. The Maidens said they were to busy weaving Fate and coaching the young Sidereals to worry about anything else. The Dragons listened to what Charon had to say, but shared a similar belief with Luna. In the end, they decided to send five Prophets amongst their people, so that may recieve some guidance, but not rely upon it like a crutch. Only partially satisfied, Charon then turned to Autocthon to see what aid the Great Maker could offer.

Autocthon had been spending his time since the end of the War in a state of quiet paranoia, waitng for the Incarna to go back on their word and turn against him. When Charon came to him seeking advice, Autocthon saw it as a unique opportunity to mold this new Creation into something that could not threaten him. And so the Great Maker sat down with Charon and the leaders of the Chosen and described to them a great society comprised of five nations. Each nation would be the home and domain of one of the families of Exalts. Autocthon claimed that by spreading out the Legacy Relics it would make them easier to defend should the forces of the Wyld every attack in strength. He even went so far as to tie them into a massive device he called the Realm Defense Grid. A powerful weapon which would be used to strengthen Creation's borders and hold back the Wyld. With the help of the gods Autocthon drew a massive island up around the base of the Elemental Pole of Earth, which was centered in the Great Inland Sea. He called this island Coalition, and said it would be the place where the Five Dominions would unite as one. It would be a perfect place to host the new government. Located as far as possible from the borders of the Wyld and near the most stable place in all of Creation, he also placed the controls to the Realm Defense Grid here as well.

The Exalts listened and were convinced by Autocthon. They spread to the corners of Creation to begin their reign. The Solar went south, were the Sun could shine uninterrupted on all the land. The Lunars went east, where there were ecosystems of all types so that they could be comfortable regardless of which animal they favored. The Sidereal went north, where the skies were clear and the stars so close in the clear skies that it seemed like they could be touched. The Terrestrials went west, where their grasp of technology enabled them create vast cities floating on and beneath the waves. And the Eidolon returned to the Underworld, confidant they could work their vocation without having to worry about their cousins.

Autocthon looked out at what he started and allowed himself a moment of relaxation. Once the curse his siblings inflicted took fruit, the Exalts would be too concerned with one another to ever come after him. By splitting them into seperate groups and giving each a Legacy Relic he made it so that one could never defeat another. The best they could hope for was a massive, uneasy stand-off. He doubly protected himself by tying the Legacy Relics into the Defense Grid. They were now integral to the defense of their given Dominions, and were thus prevented from being used to do much else. He was only two steps away from utter safety...

The Creation of the Pattern Spiders

Much to the dismay of the Maidens, they needed to spend most of their time working the Loom of Fate. While their children could help, they could not bear all the work. Autocthon saw an opportunity and approached the Maidens. He asked why they toiled so and did not relax and partake of the Games like Luna and Sol. The Maidens replied that they were too busy weaving Fate. Autocthon smiled and told them he had a gift:he reached out his hand and opened it to reveal a jeweled spider within. The Maidens looked at the spider, and thanked him, but were unsure what to do with it. Autocthon's smile broadened as he set the spider on the Loom. The automaton read what Fate was being woven and promptly took over spinning it. This got the Maidens' attention and they asked if he had any more. Autocthon continued to smile and opened his other hand, releasing a cloud of the spiders onto the Loom. He then instructed the Maidens in their use. They were elated and wasted no time in explaining the situation to their chosen. They then retired to Yu-Shuan to celebrate. As Autocthon began his final preperations, his smile remained. His spiders would be infallible in their duty. Of course, weaving fate was only their secondary function. Obeying their Creator was always the first and foremost thing in their minds. His backdoor established continued preparing himself for his trip.

The Disappearane of Autocthon

With the Incarna and the Exalts no longer a threat, Autocthon only had one more foe to worry about: his siblings. If they ever managed to escape their prison, Creation was the last place he wanted to be. He gathered up his faithful and a number of loyal gods, said goodbye to all the children he was leaving behind, and then left to a place in Elsewhere where he crafted a world from his very body that his servants may prosper and he may feed upon their faith. And thus Autochton vanished from Creation.
