The Three Fold Ring

The Three Fold Ring is made up of six collected Solars and their respective mates. All were at least a thousand years as Exalts by the end of the First Age, and all died before, during, or shortly after the Usurpation. They shared a collective manse (known as the House of the Three Fold Ring), which still stands several days northwest of Nexus, and at least two of the Solars' spouses still survive to the current day.

Now.

The Solars

  • Memory of the Waters
    • Caste: Dawn
    • Spouse: None, but she did have an affair with Gazelle, a Waxing Moon Lunar married to her circlemate Hymn.
      • Children: None
    • Death: Betrayed by Hymn while on campaign, ironically just as she put into motion the plan that would secure Hymn's death on the same mission.
    • Current Incarnation: Saieko Damascus, Dawn Caste Solar. One of the campaign's PCs.
  • Tarragon of the Northern Shore
    • Caste: Zenith
    • Spouse: Veasse, No Moon Lunar
      • Children: At least three, youngest (Light Magnificent) was murdered during the Usurpation
    • Death: Took his own life rather than let the Dragon-bloods kill him. (This was tied heavily to his virtue flaw, which made him obsessively controlling of every aspect of his life)
    • Current Incarnation: Enlightened Sage in Silver, Midnight Caste Abyssal. Sage is deceased as of the end of the campaign, killed by one of the PCs.
  • Sweeping Rook
    • Caste: Twilight
    • Spouse: Crown of Lilac and Marigold, a spirit serving as the protector of their Manse.
      • Children: One male, Zephyr.
    • Death: Killed while summoning a demon unprepared and alone.
    • Current Incarnation: Cynis Isrisien, Twilight Caste Solar. One of the campaign's PCs.
  • Munashe Ayo
    • Caste: Twilight
    • Spouse: Myth of Five Forests, Waxing Moon Lunar
      • Children: at least three (the names escape me at the moment)
    • Death: Wasted away and finally died of sorrow after the death of his entire circle and his beloved wife. Was the only original Solar to be buried at the Manse, under a willow tree.
    • Current Incarnation: Lee, Twilight Caste Solar. One of the campaign's PCs.
  • Hymn of the Poplar
    • Caste: Night
    • Spouse: Gazelle, Waxing Moon Lunar
      • Children: (I can't remember!)
    • Death: Killed on the same campaign as Memory of the Waters, after orchestrating Memory's death. Their rivalry boiled down to a fight over Gazelle.
    • Current Incarnation: Nuray, Night Caste Solar. One of the campaign's PCs.
  • Moancha Tlaloc
    • Caste: Eclipse
    • Spouse: Exquisite Color of Night, Sidereal Chosen of Secrets
      • Children: None, I think
    • Death: Killed by his wife during the Usurpation while they were in bed together.
    • Current Incarnation: Shafar, Eclipse Caste Solar.

The Others

To cover spouses, lovers, friends, and all else concerning the Three Fold Ring.

  • Veasse of the Northern Shore
    • Caste: No (New) Moon Lunar
    • Spouse: Tarragon, Zenith Solar
    • Death: None! She lives still!
    • Current Incarnation: See above!
    • Notes: Veasse showed up a few days after the PCs found the House, and worked as a guide and trainer to the PCs while they stayed there for a few months, giving them a little insight into what their former selves were like. She also retains a good friendship with Crown, and has ties to the Silver Pact. Her totem is the tiger, and her Tell manifests as bright orange stripes in her otherwise black hair. She is somewhat grizzled and on occassion, her weariness at the world bleeds through her tough exterior. She also resents the fact that her husband once had her "tamed," and tends to keep others at arms' length to prevent this from happening again.
  • Crown of Lilac and Marigold
    • Caste: Spirit guardian, formerly a minor deity in Yu-Shan
    • Spouse: Sweeping Rook, Twilight Solar
    • Death: None! She is still the guardian of the House of the Three Fold Ring.
    • Current Incarnation: Well, that's really not applicable, is it?
    • Notes: Crown's appearance isn't much different today than it was in the First Age, aside from a few cosmetic changes. Most people that see her think she is an attractive woman of indeterminate age in outdated clothing. She cannot leave the Manse grounds and is tied directly to the flow of Essence surrounding the house, making her a powerful but effective guardian. She is almost always materialized, the few exceptions being if she feels she is in immediate danger that cannot be averted within a few seconds, or if she needs to travel quickly to an inaccessable or distant portion of the House, such as the rooftop shrines or the Hearthstone chamber beneath the earth. She is kind, a bit overly-motherly, and keeps the House in a state of obsessive readiness in hopes the Solars will return. All in all, she's a very nice person.
  • Myth of Five Forests
    • Caste: Waxing Moon Lunar
    • Spouse: Munashe Ayo, Twilight Solar
    • Death: Died sometime during the Usurpation, and buried in place of her still-living husband in the Three Fold Ring's collective tomb.
    • Current Incarnation: Unknown
    • Notes: Myth, while living, was a shy and quiet Lunar from the Southeast. She and her husband Ayo were completely and totally in love - soul mates to the letter. She was surprisingly perceptive and very good at socializing with her husband's peers - Withdrawn Ayo could rely on her to make sure his ideas were heard among the Deliberative. It was her unexpected death during the Usurpation that drove Ayo to reclusive madness within the House. Myth's totem was the bird of paradise, and her tell was bright bird-of-paradise feathers in her deep brown hair. Her tastes in colors tended toward either dull grays and browns or extremely bright jungle-y colors like red, orange, and green.
  • Gazelle
    • Caste: Waxing Moon Lunar
    • Spouse: Hymn of the Poplar, though he had a long affair with Memory of the Waters
    • Death: Unknown, though he probably survived in the Wyld for many, many years after the Usurpation.
    • Current Incarnation: Suren, Changing Moon Lunar
    • Notes: Gazelle, a fantasically beautiful Lunar from the North, married Hymn when they were both new to their Exaltation. However, their initial attraction faded over the years, and Gazelle found himself drawn to Memory of the Waters. What followed was a heated affair that lasted many years, until his wife discovered them, which drove a wedge between Hymn and Memory that eventually led to their deaths. After his lover and wife died, Gazelle remained at the House until the Solars' tomb was completed, and then disappeared into the wilderness. His fate is unknown, though a new Lunar now bears his Essence. I should note that Suren and Saieko, Gazelle and Memory's current incarnations, are also in a relationship. History repeats itself...
  • Exquisite Color of Nightfall (I think...)
    • Caste: Sidereal Chosen of Secrets
    • Spouse: Moancha Tlaloc, Eclipse Solar
    • Death: Still living up in her celestial manse
    • Current Incarnation: See above.
    • Notes: Exquisite Color of Nightfall originally sided with the Bronze Faction and even went so far as to take her own husband's life during the Usurpation. She has since regretted that action, and her loyalties now lie with the Gold Faction (or, at least, not with the Bronze anymore). Veasse in particular detests Exquisite Color for her betrayal, and it's unlikely Crown would have anything to do with her at this point. However, things could change...
