At transcendent levels of skill and power an Abyssal can hold not only his victim's body but his soul and both become suitable fare for his depraved appetites. After making a successful clinch against his opponent, an Abyssal can activate this Charm on any turn in which he controls the clinch. The Abyssal and his victim appear to merge together as the Deathknight attempts to consume his opponent utterly. The two characters make a resisted Essence + Willpower roll. If the target is victorious he escapes the clinch automatically and both the Abyssal and the target suffer a number of dice of aggravated damage equal to the Abyssal's Essence. If the Abyssal wins then the target is consumed, his body and soul absorbed into the Abyssal and devoured.
After the subject has been devoured the Abyssal makes a Strength + Essence roll to properly digest the opponent with a difficulty equal to the target's Essence. Failure indicates the target has simply died and no further effects are forthcoming. A botch indicates the target has managed to flee from the Abyssal in death and inflicted great harm in his passing, dealing his Essence in aggravated health levels of damage to the Abyssal. Only with a successful digestion roll is the true benefit of this Charm realized.
A successfully digested victim transfers a dot from his highest Attribute, the Storyteller simply chooses an Attribute if several are tied for highest, to the Abyssal for a number of weeks equal to the combined total of the character's Essence and that of the victim. The Deathknight can benefit from no more uses of this Charm then his Stamina rating. Any use beyond that limit replaces the oldest existing benefit.
For as long as the Abyssal bears any 'gifted' dot, a mark appears somewhere on his body that represents the devoured soul providing the benefit. Anyone who knew the person can make an Intelligence + Awareness roll to recognize it as representing the victim. An Intelligence + Occult roll at difficulty 5 is required to realize what it means, however. This mark generally appears somewhere around the face, throat or stomach of the Abyssal.
It should be noted this Charm can not be used on beings of higher Essence then the Deathknight and that using it on Extras conveys no benefit at all.
