<grimshear> okay... so aside from the "Hey cool, Iajutsu" factor, whats the point of the Mind Body etc unity charm?
<BrigandRansom> Well, it's a permanent, and compatible with other Melee charms
<BrigandRansom> never be caught unarmed again, as long as you have your weapon
<BrigandRansom> does that seem speedbumpy to you?
<grimshear> eh... sort of and not really
<BrigandRansom> hmm
<IndicaDragon> hey all
<BrigandRansom> I think a bonus is justified for the Chosen Weapon, now that I think about it
- BrigandRansom nods @ Indi
<IndicaDragon> any of you know anyone who has a complete version of stormwrack?
<grimshear> if you added something like a "Lethal Strike" ability to it, where you say... count double your weapon specialty if you sheath your weapon between strikes, it would be a definite non-speedbump and up the coolness
<IndicaDragon> without pages missing?
<BrigandRansom> !_!
<grimshear> like the Blade Form charm though
<BrigandRansom> wow
<BrigandRansom> that's great
<grimshear> thankee ;)
<grimshear> 'cause then you get the whole "with a single flickering strike, he returns his blade to it's scabbard, his opponent's mind struggling with the fact that they're already dead"
<BrigandRansom> do you think Prescision timing method is overpriced?
<grimshear> gimme a sec to read over it again ;)
<grimshear> 2 per tic... dunno... I can't remember what similar charms cost
<BrigandRansom> 2 motes per init tic, purchase up -=Or=- down
<grimshear> up or down is probably worth it, if it can be done at any time
<BrigandRansom> "Movement Anticipation Practice" is where that one becomes most useful
<grimshear> like if you're going to act, then suddenly hack down your init to strike simultaneous with someone, it's probably worth the 2
<BrigandRansom> yep, that's what I was thinking
<grimshear> and I _love_ Bodyguards Folly :D
<BrigandRansom> =D
<grimshear> "You have hordes of bodyguards!?! This proves your spirit is weak... now watch me slaughter them all!" <-- done with realy cheesy dubbing voice overs
<BrigandRansom> Bodyguard's Folly was inspired by the first fight in the movie "Sanjuro", where Tsubaki punks out a good 2 dozen or so extras
<BrigandRansom> lmao
<grimshear> overall it looks really solid man
<BrigandRansom> excellent
<BrigandRansom> Now I just need a Pre-pinnacle and a pinnacle
<BrigandRansom> do those Ideas I have for those look good? Any ideas yourself?
<grimshear> for a pinnacle, I'd probably say something like "Form of the Unassailable Master", where the difficulty of all strikes against the user is increased by his MA score or something similar
<grimshear> so instead of needing that single success, you suddenly need like 6+ :P
<BrigandRansom> ... ouch
<BrigandRansom> good ouch lol
<grimshear> to balance that one out, you'd probably have to have it activated concurrent with some of the others, along with a semi-hefty cost to itself, but I like that idea
<BrigandRansom> maybe make it a secondary form built off of the first? kinda like what I did with Dawn Fist having 2 form charms?
<grimshear> ya... you could do that
<grimshear> you could go either (or both ;) ) way, one being the "Go ahead, try and hit me" and the other being "Watch me Hurt you" :P
<BrigandRansom> hmm
- grimshear holds his tender bits at the thought of a single guy activating both at once...
<BrigandRansom> lmao
<grimshear> oh god... I just thought of something
<BrigandRansom> combo?
<grimshear> 1 Will, Ess= 2x permanent essence; "Blow of the Pussiant Master" (or something similarly impressive). Effect: Auto Successes = Perm Ess, extra attacks= perm Ess/2
<grimshear> so it just gets more scary the more powerful you get :P
<BrigandRansom> o_o
- BrigandRansom blinks
<grimshear> imagine comboing those two :P
- BrigandRansom shudders
<grimshear> would cost like 3+ willpower and like 20+ essence to do, but you'd be an unstoppable machine while it lasted :P
<grimshear> you know... sometimes I'm ashamed of myself...
<BrigandRansom> Hmm... do you think that could be cheapened and balanced with penalties to mental stats, since you're too "In The Zone" to think or percieve?
<grimshear> I think this deserves to be one of those times :P
<BrigandRansom> instead of seeing red, you're seeing sunlight
<BrigandRansom> =)
- Angelheart shames grimmy
<grimshear> I'd say that anything outside of combat with your chosen target and interferring agents would basically not be possible
<grimshear> everything is a nice shiney haze until it tries to attack you, at which point it learns the error of it's choice ;)
<Angelheart> god I love cheesy kungfu movies some times
<BrigandRansom> or, making that one charm incompatible with melee charms
<grimshear> ya... that way it would only be your skill and your weapon
