Explanation

Alright, here's the deal. I am a huge raging fan of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. The live-action series, that is, don't get me started on the anime or manga. Anyway, PGSM has a lot of great themes that coincide with Exalted's (power passing through reincarnation, normal people with godlike skills, the importance of destiny over personal desires), and I thought it'd be downright keen to convert the former into the latter's system. So, without further ado, I give you.. Romance of the Sun and Moon!

(Note: This is going to be a PGSM-*themed* campaign. It is not PGSM + Exalted. Characters should be original, not carbon copies of their source material.)

Backstory

In the First Age, there was a great land devoted to the worship of Luna and the Maidens. This place and its inhabitants were so close to their heavenly patrons that it was raised up from the sea and placed in the sky as a fixture of Heaven. In time, the citizens of this forgotten airborne city grew haughty and proud, elevating their Lunar ruler and his/her Sidereal guardians above the true rulers of Creation, the Solar Exalted. The Solars, they decreed, were not as devoted or pious as they were and therefore not allowed into their glorious realm.

The Solar Deliberative permitted this slight, as their own realm was vast and they had grown complacent. Indeed, they declared that no Solar Exalted were to enter that realm or associate with its people, and the ensuing "unofficial" scuffles between the Deliberative and the floating city only heightened the enmity. However, the heir to the floating city's crown, Quicksilver Radiance, became enamored with a Solar Exalted known only as Eagle. Their forbidden love was almost immediately ended as the Dragon-Blooded usurpers rose up and began to slaughter their Solar masters. Radiance was quick to offer shelter for Eagle and his four trusted generals, and her people grew bitter. Why would their exalted ruler take in an unworthy man whose god had turned away from him and whose minions were hunting him down?

This ended in bloodshed as the Dragon-Blooded offered quarter to the city's inhabitants in exchange for the lives of the four Solars, and the princess's four Sidereal guardians fought an epic battle against Eagle's Solar generals without either ruler's knowledge. In the ensuing battle, the four Sidereals, Eagle, and his generals were all slaughtered. Quicksilver Radiance, an immensely powerful sorceress, brought a world-crushing spell to bear against Creation in her incredible grief, and was only stopped by the Dragon-Blooded, who descended upon the floating city without mercy.

With the destruction of the Jade Prison, one enterprising Deathlord came into possession of the four Solar Essences of the generals. She corrupted these immediately and Exalted four of her most trusted retainers, watching with interest as the twisted personalities of the original Solars shattered the retainers' psyches and came to the forefront. She remembered their prince from her original life, and his lover. She vowed to turn Eagle into the greatest of her deathknights, and destroy Quicksilver Radiance's Essence entirely.

In this Age of Sorrows, the Essences of the two lovers and their retainers have been released back onto Creation. Will they forge their own destinies, or fall back into the cycle of destruction?

Solar Prince and Abyssal Generals
Gift of Dragons (Eagle), recently-Exalted Zenith Caste and heir to a small land in the Hundred Kingdoms. Is known for his level head and swordsmanship.
Steel Hand Within Cloth Shroud (Viaran), Moonshadow Caste and loyal envoy of the Queen. Wields a pair of adamant-and-soulsteel daggers.
Betrayal In Silence (Saladi Golden-Eyes), Day Caste. Is an infatuated assassin of the Queen, and his black-jade serpent-sting staff has killed many of her enemies.
Fivefold Iron Doom (Oretsu of Hollow), Daybreak Caste. Does not venture into public, but is responsible for summoning the Queen's demonic and undead servants, as well as crafting her weapons. He enters battle reluctantly with a massive soulsteel goremaul.
Blade Of Twisted Virtue (Chirak Nezrin), Dusk Caste and the only one of the Generals to openly disobey the Queen regularly. He's a peerless swordsman, however, and is kept around for that very reason. His personal weapon is a powerful orichalcum and soulsteel reaver daiklave.

The Enemies
Queen Of Bloody Earth And Ash-Filled Sky (Sapphire), Deathlord in the Northeast. Possesses a single small shadowland used for deployment of warriors.
Chains of Rage, incredibly-restricted Malfean who has degenerated to little more than a hate-filled entity that wants to end Creation.

Character Generation

All characters will start with Artifact 2 (Bracelets of the Unified Soul ) and Savant 1, free of charge. The Lunar Princess will eventually gain the Throwback flaw and must take the Eternal Vow merit.

Notes

All names are the original characters and will all be changed eventually.

If I ever run this thing, it's likely that the PCs will be composed of the Lunar and his/her Sidereal guard. I might, however, decide to use the Solar and his/her guard as player characters, depending on how much interest there was to play the 'bad guys' instead.

While the PCs do have original genders, players may have their reincarnations be whatever gender they desire.
