Great Spoons was founded by three goddesses, each of which had rescued one of three tribes from the confusion of the Chaos Plague. Conveniently, one was Goddess of Spoons, one was Goddess of Forks, and one was Goddess of Knives. Their combined power enabled their tribes to join together to form a strong city-state, if a rather eccentric one.

To encourage their power, they force everyone to make as much use of knives, forks, and spoons as possible, sometimes to the point of ridiculousness, such as digging trenches with giant spoons. Use of Chopsticks carries the death penalty. Eating with your fingers can get you a beating.

The Kawaii Order is banned because of its habitual use of chopsticks and fingers to feed with. This has made the city a refuge for Anathema, ghosts, spirits, god-bloods, renegade Magical Girls, etc. The presence of many such has made the city very safe from everything...except THEM.

Because the Cutlery Trio can sense anything that happens near their trademark utensil, they have become major information brokers, when the price is right.
